My husband and I cooked it with the corn side ...just like the show. The two together were great. Alone it it wasn't as strong of a dish.

    PHENOMENAL

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
WOW. I've been living out of the country for a while and this recipe morphed me back home for the 30 minutes I sat at the dinner table. I was expecting it to be good...but it BLEW ME AWAY

Although I thought it was pretty good, my family didn't care much for this recipe. My teenagers knew it was a new recipe, they said I usually cook better than this.

Big Daddy...This blackened tilapia is awesome!!!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I made this for the first time tonight and I must say...THIS IS REALLY GOOD! The only thing I would change is the salt in the blackened seasoning. Even though the fish is really good with all of the blackening seasoning, next time I will recipe for salt down to 1/2 tsp. instead of a whole tsp. because my boyfriend doesn't like salty food and the fish seems to be a tad bit salty but very tasty. I used only 2 tbsp of regulary paprika (ran out of paprika and didn't feel like going to the store for only smoked paprika). And I used canola oil instead of grapeseed oil. It was still delicious (especially with cornbread and stewed tomatoes w/ sausage and shrimp on the side). Mmmmmmmmm mmmmm good. Next time I'll try the corn and pepper salad. This is a keeper! Thanks Big Daddy!!!!!!

The best Blackening we've ever had!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
We never had Tilapia before, and my husband was really skeptical about trying it. After the first bite he said it was "sent from heaven above" and that he could "eat it twice a week". We enjoyed it so much I'm mixing up a bunch of the blackening and we'll be trying it on other fish and maybe chicken.

Fantastic flavor. Used regular paprika and cooked in an iron skillet. Used regular vegtable oil. This is a keeper!

    Very Tasty

I made the recipe with the corn salad and it was a great combination. I'l be making this one often. I agree with the other reviewer that the thinner crispy parts of the fish were the best. Try it. Very easy and super quick.

    not so pleased

Rated: 1 stars out of 5
sorry...me and my husband was not quite satisfied with this recipe. My husband even told me nicely that he didn't really like it. I followed the directions exactly. I didn't see the show, but is it suppose to be on the reddish side than the blacken side???

    Very Pleased

I've been looking for a good "blackened" recipe, and this one was excellent. I'm going to use this on chicken, too. I really like the thinner, more blackened parts of the fish, so I think when I write the recipe down, I'm going to write "for thicker fish, cook 4-5 min per side.

    Best tasting seasoning for Tilapia

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
Enjoy the show! This is one of the easiest yet best tasting ways of preparing Tilapia and because of that I have no problem getting my family to eat some fish. Have already made this one several times.

I was not able to find the smoked paprika at the store (they were all out!) so I did substitute regular instead. Great flavor, nice blackened effect and easy to cook. Keeping this one for future (often) use!

    A good recipe

This was good. The smoked paprika was a little overpowering. I would recommend reducing the amount of smoked paprika or useing regular paprika instead. I served the tilapia with a fresh mango peach salsa and brown rice.
