This was fantastic! I paired it up with Barefoot Contessas autumn vegetables (potatoes, sweet potato, carrots and parsnips, cut into little squares and roasted in the oven with olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic. My daughter who doesn't like fish, now says this is her favorite meal. The sweetness of the veggies compliments the spices in the fish. Outstanding, Big Daddy!

I do not cook, my husband usually does. I wanted to make something nice for him and he likes fish (which I dont. I tried Big Daddy's blackened Tilapia and loved it. It was easy to make and tasted great. The seasoning was perfect; not to hot. Thanks big Daddy I cant wait to taste another one of your receipes.

if you're looking for a fun fish recipe, you definitely found it!! this is so YUM! i used EVOO also, since i don't have quite the fully stocked pantry i wish i had, but everything else is in most kitchens or is easily substituted : i also used a little less oil, and still wish i used less, maybe it would've had a bit more of a crunch. regardless, it was soo good!! perfect seasoning!

I'm saving this one. The blackened seasoning is the BEST. I use more cayenne though, my family likes it hot. I use it for seasoning hot wings along with the original "Franks" sauce. YUM! Thanks Aaron
Oh yeah...Tilapia is a great buy and can hold its own to this rub.

This recipe has become one of my top "do-agains" It packs a TON of flavor and a fair amount of heat, so it's not for bland palates! Super easy meal to make and pairs awesome with some plain basmati rice and broccoli. I love breaking out the cast iron skillet - make sure your pan is hot so you get a nice crusty sear! *enjoy!*

Delicious, the best tasting Tilapia I have ever tasted, if I say so myself. Very easy to make and it doesn't take a lot of prep or cook time. I served my filets over a bed of raw spinach and spring mix greens, then put a spoonful of long grain and wild rice on top of the fish. I also served it with cut green beans boiled with a tsp. of olive oil, spices and sliced red onions. I didn't have grapeseed oil, so I used olive oil, but next time I'll try the grapeseed just to see if there is a difference. Big Daddy you hit a home run with this one!

Fantastically simple yet infinitely variable. I had Hungarian hot paprika on hand so I omitted the cayennne. I substituted regular Canola for the grapeseed oil. I'm not sure of others' opinion but blackening just is done so wonderfully in a 10-inch cast iron skillet which I happen to own. I made this recipe for my girl friend who normally doesn't like fish, but she ate the whole fillet. I will be adding this recipe to one of my favorites.
