I love these! So much flavor! Easy and delicious. I have tried using ground beef too and it was equally good.

I expected more from a 5 star/29 review recipe. I think it would be better just served over rice.

Didn't want to use the canned stuff. Whipped this up pretty quickly. Even substituted ground beef and added a dash of ketchup. Will make again!

This is a great way to get a full meal on the table in just a few minutes. I oven-roasted some potatoes with butter, rosemary, smoked paprika, and other seasonings to serve with the sandwiches. The first time I made this, I did use the tenderloin, but who can afford to buy this on a regular basis? So the next time I used a lb. of ground chuck, and I always increase the steak sauce to 5 or 6 tbs, to make the mixture more moist and cohesive. All together, this is a pretty simple and healthy way to make sloppy joes, and I will continue to use the recipe!

I made the recipe last night and was not totally happy with the end product. The sauce actually had an odd taste (I use the freshest ingredients and update my spices regularly. The consistency of the sauce was a bit runny, not as "saucy" as a traditional tomato based sloppy joe sauce. I did add a can of tomato paste which helped a little bit. However, I substituted Canola oil for the Grapeseed Oil as the Grapeseed Oil was too expensive, (about $10.00 for a small bottle at my local super market but truly, I do not expect that this would have made that much of a difference in the overall flavor of the recipe. I was sorry to waste the filet mignon on this recipe.

I had this this weekend. The only problem was the cost of the meat. It was ok...the cost really hurt

Just made this for dinner last night and ate all the leftovers tonight. This recipe is so SIMPLE and QUICK, but it doesn't taste like it! PERFECT for a weeknight dinner. I used EVOO instead of grapeseed oil, forgot to add the mustard but it turned out fine, and got a different cut of meat. As for the sauce, it was plenty "saucy" for me. I wonder if some of you cooked it too long and all the liquid reduced or absorbed into the meat and vegetables?? Who knows! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I just finished making and eating my first sloppy joe burger and it was delish! Few modifications I made to the recipe:
Added 1 extra tbs of steak sauce (other reviews expressed that there was not enough sauce
Used 1 tbs of prepared mustard instead of dry
Added 2 tbs of prepared marinara for a tomato flavor
The meat was tender and the suce was thick and tangy. The fresh bread made me appreciate this sandwhich even more! I will definitely add this to my staples of weeknight dinners!

The A-1 and brown sugar make the sauce. There wasn't quite enough sauce so I added a can of tomato sauce. It's even better the next day. You'll never buy the canned stuff again, this was delicious.
