I used two jalopeno peppers (with seeds, but still failed to see why this recipe is titled as "spicy" (?. It seems to lack some depth...overall flavor is good, but needs more heat and dimension. Sorry, Big Daddy...but I still like your show!

I could smell the meat filling from my living room! Last night was Island nite at my house. My hubby and I are most definitely making these again.

These are so easy to make! My daughter and I watched your show this morning and we decided to make the family this recipe and the smoky beans and rice. Yummy! Next time I would like to add some seasoned sausage to the mix.
Make these for football or for any entertaining function they will be a guaranteed hit!

Cold august day in WI high 60-that's crazy, sat and watched food network all day. Typically we would not be around to catch this show. This sounded like a good and fun recipe and it was! Easy to make, very tasty with the right amount of spice. Too much for my husband and I to eat so ran the leftovers to my son at work (SBUX and he and the coworkers really enjoyed a little evening snack. It was a hit. They all had good things to say!

The meat mix would be execellent for tacos -no packet mix needed! Can't wait to try our own variations, (wonton wrappers, playing with the seasonings, possibly a jerk mix, etc.

    Thanks big daddy.

Hey "Null", leave Melissa alone-she's doing a great job doing what it is that she is supposed to do. Maybe not what you or I would make, but there has got to be a huge market for what she does! If you had kids you would know, parents are busy on Saturdays with sports and lessons no time to watch t.v. I know, I've been there. Having said that I would love to see big daddy sat or sun. before 8:00am when we watch food network religiously so we know what to make for a weekend meal.

I saw your show today and decided to make the beef patties for my husband and I. My family is from Barbados so, I was happy to see a great twist on the beef patty (jalapeno. I made the beef patties using a pre-made pie crust but, could only find crusts already in a pie tin. I decided to make a mince meat pie as I know it in Barbados and use the crust as is and put another on top, Your filling worked out great and the crust wonderful with the curry brushing.

Thank You for a great Sunday meal.

Hot cali day sitting around trying to stay cool waiting for the cowboys game to replay. Saw your show for the first time and you make these beef patties look so good. I had some fish I was going to fry today but now we will be having fish and beef patties. When I was a kid a family friend would make them for me from time to time. Great to go back down memory line and I hope my kids enjoy them like I did. YOU MADE MY TIVO LIST!!! GOD BLESS
