    Easy, quick, and great

This was my first time to blacken anything and it turned out really well. I cut the salt in half, and it was just right. Has a nice Cajun flavor. I didn't bother with sauce. I just used ranch on the side, and it complimented it well. Next time, I'm going to try the same ingredients and technique on catfish fillets. Oh by the way, keep a sharp eye on your fish when frying; I almost overdid it. Actually, about one and half minutes a side on medium high heat is to my liking.

Wow, I have never done blackened salmon before!!!! This recipe was easy and the sauce was off the hook. I substituted the blackened ingredients for an all in one cajon spice, but made the sauce exactly as instructed...It was awesome!!! My husband loved it...I also did white rice with grilled veggies with it . I would highly recommend this easy yet delicious recipe!!!

My husband and I are not real fish eaters but this is an Excellent and EASY recipe. We have substituted gorgonzola for the blue cheese as my husband doesnt like the pungency of the blue cheese and it was GREAT too.

Big Daddy, Big Daddy!!!!! Thank you sooo much for this AWESOME recipe! My husband DOESNOT like to try ANYTHING different. When I pulled that salmon out of that stove and the smell it made my husband turn into a transformer! The look on his face was like DAM BABY, WHY HAVEN'T YOU FIX THIS BEFORE. Thanks, again Big Daddy. This has turned into a romantic dinner. Well I got to go to check on the bath water and candles. Philly Girl, Babekakes

    Wonderfully Good and Easy

The best salmon dish I've ever made (and eaten).. The blackened salmon alone is a hit, and my entire family loved it. The sauce makes it even better, and I plan to make this over and over. I followed the other reviews and cut the salt in half, and it had a perfect flavor. It doesn't get much easier or better than this dish!

Two Thumbs up! Easy and impressive enough for company!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I made this for dinner last night and my husband and I both gave it 5 out of 5 stars! It was quick and easy to make and I'm a beginner cook. My husband loves blue cheese and I was looking for a new recipe for salmon so this caught my eye and I am so glad it did! I followed the recipe exactly. The salmon had kick and the sauce was rich and creamy. I served it on a bed of brown rice with steamed broccoli on the side. I'm not a huge blue cheese fan but the sauce was not overpowering and I loved it. I'm serving this the next time we have friends over for dinner.

This recipe was easy and tasted great. I tried it with red snapper fish instead, but it still worked out well.

BIG Flavor! Best Salmon We've Tasted!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
My family loved this salmon recipe and my husband isn't a "fish" person but says I was the best salmon he ever tasted. Next time I would use half the salt, but it's a keeper.

I'm just starting to learn how to cook and this recipe worked out really well. I used 1/2 the salt per the recs and we thought it worked out well. Thanks sir!

This is a nice starting point, I learned how blackened food is done...but.....

Thank goodness I read the other reviews. I put WAY less salt than the recipe called for, to taste. Also added brown sugar, garlic and onion powders. Everyone loved this dish, served with a homemade tartar sauce; sour cream, mayo, dill, horse radish, chopped cilantro and onion. YUM! Only four stars because the recipe is too salty the way it's posted.

I'm not too crazy about foods that are spicy, so I didn't put too much cayenne. It turned out the way i wanted.. It's delicious even without the blue cheese sauce.. My husband loved it as well..

    Too Salty

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
I cut the cayenne down after reading other reviews. I didn't use the whole spice mixture but I still put too much of it on the salmon. It was WAY too salty. May try again with less salt and use the seasoning more sparingly.

Was looking for a salmon recipe that had a great sauce and great flavor. Thank goodness for this recipe. It was the highlight of our dinner. This is my third recipe from this guy and each time I changed the way I made my dish. The food has been so good I'm starting to feel like a CHEF. Keep them coming Aaron.

    Freaking Amazing!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This salmon is so moist! I did leave it in the oven for another 3 minutes because my oven is pretty old and not as hot as most. I also used just 1 tablespoon of cayenne per some of the recommendations. In addition, I remember from preparing Aaron's dry rub for ribs it was a tad bit too spicy for me. This is a new staple for me. It's quick, easy, and oh so delicious. It tastes fantastic with or without the sauce! Excellent. Aaron's recipes have all been winners!

    !!!!! Awesome

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Trust me....use about half of the cayenne it calls for and use freshed cracked pepper versus ground. Everyone I know that has tried this recipe gets it too spicy the 1st time....I've cooked it a bunch and mastered it I think.....FYI, I like spicy stuff but what I said above is plenty of hot for this dish!! You will absolutely love it

    You rock wirh this Salmon!!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I love this recipe, even though its alittle on the spicy side. The first time I cooked it I didn't get the chance to enjoy it fully since my dog stole it from my plate, but he seem to enjoyed every bit. But the second time was a charm!! I didn't make the sauce because I don't generally like sauces on my food that's already seasoned nicely.
