Easy and good
This recipe was easy and tasted great. I tried it with red snapper fish instead, but it still worked out well.

BIG Flavor! Best Salmon We've Tasted!
My family loved this salmon recipe and my husband isn't a "fish" person but says I was the best salmon he ever tasted. Next time I would use half the salt, but it's a keeper.

beginner likes it!
I'm just starting to learn how to cook and this recipe worked out really well. I used 1/2 the salt per the recs and we thought it worked out well. Thanks sir!

Blackened Salmon with Blue Cheese Sauce
This is a nice starting point, I learned how blackened food is done...but.....
Thank goodness I read the other reviews. I put WAY less salt than the recipe called for, to taste. Also added brown sugar, garlic and onion powders. Everyone loved this dish, served with a homemade tartar sauce; sour cream, mayo, dill, horse radish, chopped cilantro and onion. YUM! Only four stars because the recipe is too salty the way it's posted.

Oh sooo good!
Aaron, I love all your recipes and especially this one! The spicy rub with the blue cheese sauce made this the best salmon ever.

This is good !
I'm not too crazy about foods that are spicy, so I didn't put too much cayenne. It turned out the way i wanted.. It's delicious even without the blue cheese sauce.. My husband loved it as well..

Too Salty
I cut the cayenne down after reading other reviews. I didn't use the whole spice mixture but I still put too much of it on the salmon. It was WAY too salty. May try again with less salt and use the seasoning more sparingly.

By Far the BEST!!!!!!
Was looking for a salmon recipe that had a great sauce and great flavor. Thank goodness for this recipe. It was the highlight of our dinner. This is my third recipe from this guy and each time I changed the way I made my dish. The food has been so good I'm starting to feel like a CHEF. Keep them coming Aaron.

Freaking Amazing!
This salmon is so moist! I did leave it in the oven for another 3 minutes because my oven is pretty old and not as hot as most. I also used just 1 tablespoon of cayenne per some of the recommendations. In addition, I remember from preparing Aaron's dry rub for ribs it was a tad bit too spicy for me. This is a new staple for me. It's quick, easy, and oh so delicious. It tastes fantastic with or without the sauce! Excellent. Aaron's recipes have all been winners!

Blackened Salmon with Blue Cheese Sauce
!!!!! Awesome
Trust me....use about half of the cayenne it calls for and use freshed cracked pepper versus ground. Everyone I know that has tried this recipe gets it too spicy the 1st time....I've cooked it a bunch and mastered it I think.....FYI, I like spicy stuff but what I said above is plenty of hot for this dish!! You will absolutely love it

You rock wirh this Salmon!!
I love this recipe, even though its alittle on the spicy side. The first time I cooked it I didn't get the chance to enjoy it fully since my dog stole it from my plate, but he seem to enjoyed every bit. But the second time was a charm!! I didn't make the sauce because I don't generally like sauces on my food that's already seasoned nicely.

"BIG DADDY ROCKS THE HOUSE"
Blackened Salmon with a Blue Cheese Sauce... It just doesn't get any better than this! Arron hit a home run with this one. I generally don't care for seafood dishes, even King Salmon at $29.00 a pound. My wife loves Salmon and talked me into this recipe. I followed the recipe exactly. It tasted so good, I couldn't stop eating it. GO BIG DADDY....

Blackened Salmon with Blue Cheese Sauce
This Was A Hit!
I followed everything accept the pepper amount. I added a small amount of pepper for taste and substituted a little more Italian seasoning (since less pepper) and my family loved it. We all thought it was well seasoned and it was very easy to prepare and cook!

Blackened Salmon with Blue Cheese Sauce
Has Potential... but NOT good...
I'm surprised by all of the positive feedback on this recipe. At first taste, I thought it was wonderful. However, at the second bite I was not impressed, by the third I was craving something else entirely to satiate my appetite. This is why: -The rub is FAR TOO spicey. This is a problem because you add a strong, rich flavored rub PLUS a rich, full flavored sauce and you get too much taste, and too many diverse flavors at once. My solution: Do EITHER the spice rubbed salmon OR the salmon with a blue cheese sauce. I would rub the salmon with salt & pepper and add the sauce after cooked. OR, I would to the spice rubbed salmon. My fiance and I both disliked this very much-couldn't even finish it! For next time, I will try doing one or the other or altering the recipe; if one works and makes a really good fish, I will come back on and leave a post. Worth tinkering with, for sure.

Blackened Salmon with Blue Cheese Sauce
Delicious!!!!
My husband and I both love blackened fish, be we had never tried it with salmon. This recipe is the bomb!! I reduced the cayenne pepper called for in the recipe by about half and was still plenty hot. The salmon stands up very well to the spicy seasoning and the blue cheese sauce was an excellent compliment to the heat of the salmon. We used a well-seasoned cast iron skilled to blacken the fish and it was cooked perfectly. I wasn't sure what to expect before I made this but we were both blown away - it was excellent! Easy to make too. Thanks Big Daddy, this one is a keeper!!
