  Quick, Easy and Quite Tasty

  I make several versions of meatballs for different purposes and I was looking for something a bit different to serve as a main dish with mashed potatoes. This recipe caught my eye because it uses minimal ingredients and seemed quick to throw together. It was just that. For the purposes of killing two birds with one stone, I cut the bacon into pieces and fried it until crisp on the stove. That was the only change I made to the preperation of this recipe. The meatballs were easy to make. I got about 13 out of my mixture but I did have a bit more ground beef than 1lb. I baked them for 13 minutes at 400 and they turned out perfect. The bacon adds a nice flavor. I made a marinara sauce for dipping and they were quite filling. I'll probably make these again.

  These meatballs are fantastic. I made them with turkey, since I'm allergic to beef. They are easy to make, and so is the marinara. My daughters and 11 year old granddaughter loved them, as well as my 95 year old friend. They were soft enough and tasty enough for a senior citizen. The garlic bread is now a staple at our house. Love the show!

  Very easy to make, and VERY flavorful! Use the smaller cilinegine mozzarella balls and you can make about 17 meatballs with only 1 lb of meat!

  The meatballs were a little too peppery for my taste but otherwise delicious! I used a different sauce, but will probably try this one and add my own spin to it next time. The recipe is great!

  We all loved these meatballs, my kids enjoyed the cheese in the middle. I will make them again, I may also try it in a meatloaf. Took the recipe to work and shared with my co-workers.

  These were a HUGE hit with the family!!!! I did cut back on the pepper and onion soup mix but that is a personal preference (don't really care for pepper). The smoky bacon, creamy cheese and crispy bread crumbs made a fantastic combination. I made them for my sister's 40th birthday party Sunday. I'm forwarding the recipe to most of the guests!

  I made these with the sauce . Loved the meatballs, but the sauce, not so much. It made the meatballs seem too bacony for some reason and didn't have that tang I was looking for. I had a bunch of meatballs left over, so I made my own marinara: 2 - 3 pounds of roma tomatoes, sliced lengthwise and drizzled with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and dried herbs, roasted cut side up in the oven at 250 for five hours (yes, all afternoon!). I piled them all into a saucepan, added some red wine and a pinch of sugar, then blended it smooth with a stick blender. Best darn marinara in the world! The perfect tanginess to cut the heavy richness of the meatballs, and so easy to make. Paired with the garlic bread (which you do indeed gotta have!), this is my new favorite meal!

  I don't have words well only this, these meatballs are perfection. I wouldn't add these to a spaghetti sauce they don't need it as a matter of fact it would probably ruin them if that's possible. LOVE IT!

  While I will admit I haven't cared for several of Aaron's recipes that I tried (specifically his Steak au Poivre), this is a real hit in our house! I made the meatballs with the sauce. I've left out the cheese and made hamburgers and sometime this week I'll probably made this as a meatloaf. They would be great cold meatloaf sandwiches I bet! And I especially like this episode with his son where he's acting like a normal father instead of a so "over the top" car salesman.

  I'm not usually a big spaghetti and meatballs fan, but when I saw Aaron make these I had to try them. I didn't make my own sauce but bought an amazing sauce in a jar (my mom was outraged that I spent $8 for a jar of sauce, but she thought it was amazing once she tried it.) I used low-carb spaghetti, 'cause that's what I had on hand. The three combined to become the best spaghetti and meatballs I've ever had. I can't wait to try the leftover meatballs on a meatball sub tomorrow. Thank you, Big Daddy. I suspect you can do no wrong.

  Good for a quick no-fuss meatball

  These meatballs were easy to make and fun to eat, but... there are definitely better tasting meatballs out there. I only used 2/3 of the packet based on other reviews about the saltiness but I still didn't care for the onion soup mix in there. I think these meatballs would be better as an appetizer or in a meatball sandwich rather than in spaghetti. To me, the flavors just didn't go together. Great garlic bread, can't wait to try the salad!

  When I saw this episode I knew I had to make these meatballs. I love bacon, I love cheese and I love meat... this recipe was a triple treat for me. They are absolutely easy to make and very tasty. I just couldn't believe how good they were. Thanks for a fabulous recipe!
