This is a supper good and yummy recipe. It took all of 10 minutes to make. I did make one change and that was using 2 cups of water and a pint of fresh organic cranberries instead. It came out great. So if you are a fan of the fresh fruit you can do it either way and it is just as good.

Ok, after watching the episode "Top 10 Thanksgiving Problems Solved" I just had to try Bid Daddy's Cranberry sauce. So tired of the can of cranberry sauce, I was truely inspired!!! SO simple to make and the results.....yummy!!! Tart and very sweet, almost the consistency and taste of pie mixture. A little goes a long ways!!!

Hey Paige! You can substitute 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon for the stick! Hope that helps!

I just saw this tonight. My husband said, "I'd eat that!!" He does not eat the jellied cranberry sauce. We're trying it out and making it Wednesday night. I'll let you know how it turns out!

This recipe is great! I tried it with Diet/Light Cranberry Juice and substituted Splenda (1/2 cup for the sugar. LOVE IT.

The only thing I changed is I used 1/2 c Splenda instead of the 1 cup sugar. So delish! Can't wait to bring it to Thanksgiving dinner. Thought it might be a good filling for a pie too.

I tried this in advance of Thanksgiving, w/ the following changes: 1 C water and 1 bag fresh cranberries (instead of cranberry juice and dried cranberries. Followed the recipe otherwise and it was absolutely heavenly! The diced apples just melted into it and the cinnamon stick added just enough flavor, and the whole sauce was neither too sweet or tart. Hubby raved about it as well. I bet it would be good w/ a pork roast as well as turkey. A definite keeper and new favorite!
