Ingredients

  • 3 large Yukon gold potatoes (about 1 1/4 pounds), peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 2 tablespoons sweet relish
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 scallions, thinly sliced

Directions

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the potatoes and cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain the potatoes and spread out on a sheet pan to cool. Meanwhile, bring a separate pot of water to a boil. Carefully add the eggs; cook for 12 minutes, then remove to a bowl of ice water to cool completely. Peel the eggs under cold running water, then roughly chop.

In a large bowl, combine the onion, celery, relish, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon pepper and the mayonnaise. Fold in the potatoes, eggs and scallions. Adjust the seasoning to taste.

This is my go-to, one-and-only potato salad recipe! I made it right after I received the issue of Food Network Magazine it was in. I have had nothing but rave reviews from EVERYONE who has tasted (devoured it. A man at a potluck I took it to sought me out to thank me for bringing it and said it was just like the potato salad his mom used to make. Absolutely delicious!!!

This recipe is the only one I use for potato salad. Every picnic we attend, this recipe is requested. If I could give it more stars, I would!

I am an Event Planner and I made this potato salad for a 130 people for the 4th of July, everyone LOVED IT and wanted the recipe, there was only 1/4 of a cup was left and 2 people were fighting over it! This will be my go to potato salad from now on. I also made Aaron's Buffalo Chicken Cheese Balls for a Socail Hour Event last night for 75 people (150 balls there were only 3 left. Thanks Aaron for your GREAT recipes!
