Very good! I would reduce the hot pepper flakes. I also substituted 1/2 cup of the milk for chiken stock because I didn't have chicken bullion on hand.

I didn't include the shallots...and it was still so delicious.

This is so deicious as is everything AARON cooks. We want more of him and less of INA and the amatuer Melissa d'A. They cook for kids.

I made it for a family dinner and all enjoyed it. I am going to try it again with a bit of cheating. The fried shallots were a bit of work - I am going to try toping it with Canned Fried Onions. I think it will be just as good with less work and no grease splatters.

My family all enjoyed this dish. The peas were rich and creamy and the fried shallots really brought both taste and texture up a notch.

I watched the show and thought "creamed peas, really?" Well, tonight I was looking in the freezer at my vegetable selection and saw sweet peas, white corn and broccoli. Since we had broccoli last night and I already made some rice, I decided to go for it, creamed peas. After taking a quick inventory of the pantry and fridge, I realized that I didn't have any Parmesan cheese, fresh garlic, onions or shallots (my husband has a food allergy to onions but decided to press on anyway substituting Muenster for Parmesan, Toasted & Butter Crushed Ritz Crackers for the Fried Shallots and Garlic Powder for fresh Garlic. SUCCESS! It was truly delicious. Thank you for being such a joy to watch!
