Curry Chicken Skewers
Huge hit!
We made this last night and it was a huge hit! I used whole chicken thighs instead of skewered breast. Also, only had regular paprika which seemed just fine. Can't wait to make it again. Yummy!

Change it Up
The paprika was a bit much and we love spicy so we cut the paprika a bit and added cayenne. It was great. We have made it twice and continue to tweek to our tase buds.

Very Good Curry Chicken
I made this over the weekend. I marinated the meat overnight. The recipe was easy. Instead of grilling, I did cook in the oven. This turned out well. Very flavorful!

Outstanding!
I can't believe some people didn't think this recipe was over the top. Go figure. It was so fantastic. I did the meat the day before. I also made the salsa, which I am making again Labor Day to go with my barbecued ribs. This flavor combo was spot on, Aaron, and you are an awesome chef. Keep 'em coming.

I made the chicken last night and my husband and I LOVED the flavors and spices. The chicken was so tender and so full of flavor. We also made the beans and rice and papaya and mango salsa. Great combination of flavors!!

First Things First... I Love Love Love your show... I am also a huge fan of bold flavors being an island girl myself... I am not the person that follows any recipe to the T', I know my spices and flavors and likes and dislikes so I'm always tweeking to suit my own tast buds... I used chick legs and thighs; which worked out great because they hold flavor well... Also, I never thought cilantro and curry would be so delicious together ~ OMG... Wow... I can't wait to try another variation of this recipe. I absolutly loved it and so did the kids... I've never been disapointed with any of your recipes...

Curry Chicken Skewers
Good, but not great.
Saw this on TV yesterday and decided to make it. My 19 year old son and I followed the recipe to a tee and we were very excited to taste it after smelling the marinade. The aromatics were wonderful but to our disappointment, the dish lacked flavor...it needed more salt. We will make this again but with some adjustments. I am so glad everybody is getting on board with the ASIAN side of things.

great for a hot summer night
tested all recipies in this segment except the beef patties. all was great! had to add a little more broth to the beans in the last half an hour, but then all stoves and pots are different. my family enjoyed the sweet contrast of the salsa with the very spicey chicken and beans. will make this winner again.

Island Inspired Curry Chicken Skewers
First of all we absolutely LOVE your show; watched you throughout Next Food Network Star and had everyone rooting for you. Second: I especially loved this episode "Island Inspired." Your recipes are easily understood and inspire me to try new recipe ideas. I have tried a few and liked them all. I plan on making your Curry Chicken, Red Beans and Rice as well as your delectable Mango Papaya Salsa this week. Last: Your show has brought my husband back into the kitchen. He loves your show too. You make everything look so easy; and we love your family concept.

Curry Chicken Skewers
easy on the smoked paprika !
I haven't made this recipe yet......... BUT to the previous post about it being awful (due to the smoked paprika it seems)........ be aware that smoked paprika IS VERY STRONG. Big Daddy tends to be heavy handed with this spice as he likes it a lot. If you DON'T, then by all means leave it out entirely or seriously reduce the amount. I made the Big Daddy Rub for ribs and cut a few of the ingredients WAY DOWN, like cumin, cayenne and the smoked paprika once again. By doing that, we liked it very much ! You might give the recipe another try without the paprika or switch to sweet. The other ingredients read as delicious !

Island Chicken Skewers
I saw these on TV today, went to the store and purchased $20.00 worth of ingredients I did not have at home, and made them for dinner toniight. They are awful! The smoked paprika is overwhelming. I tossed them in the garbage. Sometimes I really wonder if anyone tries some of the Food Network's recipes before they are presented on TV.

They are BOTH awesome!
They both have a great spot! And this episode WAS amazing, but don't put down another amazing cook. Everyone has their time to shine. Except for the mean spirited!
