tested all recipies in this segment except the beef patties. all was great! had to add a little more broth to the beans in the last half an hour, but then all stoves and pots are different. my family enjoyed the sweet contrast of the salsa with the very spicey chicken and beans. will make this winner again.

First of all we absolutely LOVE your show; watched you throughout Next Food Network Star and had everyone rooting for you.

Second: I especially loved this episode "Island Inspired." Your recipes are easily understood and inspire me to try new recipe ideas. I have tried a few and liked them all. I plan on making your Curry Chicken, Red Beans and Rice as well as your delectable Mango Papaya Salsa this week.

Last: Your show has brought my husband back into the kitchen. He loves your show too. You make everything look so easy; and we love your family concept.

I haven't made this recipe yet......... BUT to the previous post about it being awful (due to the smoked paprika it seems........ be aware that smoked paprika IS VERY STRONG. Big Daddy tends to be heavy handed with this spice as he likes it a lot. If you DON'T, then by all means leave it out entirely or seriously reduce the amount. I made the Big Daddy Rub for ribs and cut a few of the ingredients WAY DOWN, like cumin, cayenne and the smoked paprika once again. By doing that, we liked it very much ! You might give the recipe another try without the paprika or switch to sweet. The other ingredients read as delicious !

I saw these on TV today, went to the store and purchased $20.00 worth of ingredients I did not have at home, and made them for dinner toniight. They are awful! The smoked paprika is overwhelming. I tossed them in the garbage. Sometimes I really wonder if anyone tries some of the Food Network's recipes before they are presented on TV.

They both have a great spot! And this episode WAS amazing, but don't put down another amazing cook. Everyone has their time to shine. Except for the mean spirited!
