I loved that herb salad spread. I thought this sandwich was REALLY good. I probably would have given it five stars, but my mother probably would have given it three stars. So I'm going to combine the two of our ratings and give it four stars.

RIb eye steak, I think, is so delicious on its own, so I was slightly skeptical about putting it on bread and making it a sandwich, but I thought it turned out really nice, and had a great tang to it, especially from the sun dried tomatoes.

I couldn't find hot banana peppers in the store, but it still tasted really good.

OMG! This is the best sandwich I have ever had in my life. I have prepared this 4 times and everyone I have served it to says the same thing. My husband who is not a big fan of steak said it was the best sandwich he's ever had and that says a lot. It's definitely the salad that makes this sandwich. The second time I made it I did cheat a little and instead of using provolone I used the fresh mozzarella...YUMMY! I'm making it again today. I have tried so many receipes from Big Daddy (I've never missed a show and they all turn out perfectly... but I do cut way back on the salt. Thank you.

This dish was soooo good, I went on line today looking for something to make , I always go to Food Network, anyway the first dish I saw for the Labor Day Holiday was this one and before I even had my coffee I went to the store to buy the ingredients,I'm not kidding, plus I needed some coffee mate, ha anyway, OMG again .it was delisious, we all know that you can't go wrong with a ribeye steak but the condiments is what really made this sandwich, Aaron was right , it's all about the condiments, you have to try this, it's so easy and I WILL make this again and again , Thanks Aaron, Briana, Orange , CA

My 13 year old just made this recipe for the family moments ago. It was delicious. We didn't have any priscuitto couldn't find it in our local grocery stores but it wasn't missed. We also used green onions instead of shallots and and a different cut of steak. It is one of the best sandwiches we have ever had. It is now a family favorite and will be our "excuse" for firing up the grill. Thanks!

To be honest, yesterday was the first time I had ever sat down and watched your show. Let me say that I will be watching more often if you cook food like that. I did see a couple of episodes when you were on NFS. I was really pulling for you, but not into Food Network at the time. You cook how my husband would love to eat. He is a very thin man and he can eat, at times. His favorite steak is a ribeye. Our son is leaving for college next week and we are having a "Dorm Warming" party for him this weekend. I am looking to see what you can help us with. Thanks for this receipe. Grilling directions are not THAT bad.
