So good, we were licking our fingers throughout the meal. Delicious! I may add a small amount of crushed garlic next time. But otherwise it was soooo good!

I made this recipe this weekend. My family loved it. The chicken was moist and delicious. I did season the chicken the night before and let it sit in the refridgerator overnight. The hoisin sauce was delicious on the chicken. Keep up the good work Aaron.

This was my family reunion weekend, and I was having my niece and her new husband over for lunch. Well I decided to cook the Hoisiin Glazed Cornish Hen. I cooked 4 hens and they were so delicious, tender and very moist. I thought I was having just 2 people over for lunch but word got out and before I knew it, I had 14 people at my house eating these very good cornish hens. I wish I had made more because of how very tasty they were. I topped the hens off with my famous macoroni and cheese dish, fried cabbage (very good), rolls, home made pound cake with fresh strawberries, and some refreshing drinks. What a meal, Big Daddy. I will be making more of your wonderful dishes.

    My family loved this meal

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
My family rates dishes as "Signature" when they really enjoy them. This one was rated as "Signature Signature"! I didn't use cornish hens because my husband doesn't like them so I used quartered chicken pieces. I left them in the oven for 20 minutes total to allow for the larger pieces. I made the entire menu and we enjoyed it all but my family is still raving about the chicken! The next morning, the first thing my husband said as soon as he woke up was "that chicken was tasty"! My brother-in-law came over and all my husband could talk about was the chicken. I guess I'll be making it again! Thanks,Aaron! I don't watch "Will work for Food"! There is only one Food Network Star from that season as far as I am concerned.!

The sauce was awesome... but only after I added some Asian Chili sauce because it was a bit sweet for me. The Hen came out very tender... Try the Asian pork/broccoli eggrolls... those are out of this world!

    Dry and chewy Cornish Hen

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
I was disappointed. Although by the rest of the reviews maybe I just had an old hen. Mine came out dried up. I had a meat thermomter and all and actually cooked it for a shorter period of time. The sauce seemed to overpower the hen too. The sauce was very good so I will try it on a larger bird and just won't deepfry it. I think the sauce would be good on bbq ribs too. I'm a fan of Aarons so will continue to check out his recipes.

I love Cornish hens and this was an excellent alternative to typical stuffing and baking. I'm having a surprise party for my brother and this is definitely going on the menu. I just want to try it with a larger bird because it is so good and there just isn't enough to go around. Thanks for a great recipe.

    The Best Cornish Hen Recipe

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Aaron makes this chicken a delight to enjoy preparing and dining, well, a gourmet experience. The cornish hen came out of the oven very crispy, juicy, and eye-appealing with just the right amount of heat... with a taste, like none I have ever experienced. I hope Aaron is a permanent asset to the Foodnetwork family. Can't say enough about Aaron. He's the "go-to-guy" in my kitchen anytime!

This is easy, and tasty! A must try! After the first hen I had to do the other hen the next night and I have to say I ate the whole thing in one sitting! I plan to make these again, like tomorrow. I have tried the Hosin on salmon and it was great and really didn't know what else to use it till this recipe. Thanks Big Daddy, keep doing what you are doing!

    Fabulous and Inexpensive!!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I love to cook, and love preparing gourmet meals at home, without the price of dining out. This meal was fantastic...my 5 year old son loved the hen. He also loved helping me prepare the meal. The hens were sticky, ooey, gooey, delicious! The crispness of the skin went very well with the crispness of the sauce, after raosting in the oven for a few minutes. I had to increase the cooking time in the fryer, as well as in the oven, approximately10-15 minutes. I also added some baby bok choy to this meal...I coated a non-stick pan with sesame oil, then added the bok choy (rinsed and halved - cut side down). I also added about 1 T minced garlic and minced shallots. Put a lid on and allowed it to steam for about 5 minutes. Removed the lid and added 1/2 cup chicken stock and let it reduce. It went well with this scrumptious dinner! This will be a recipe that I will prepare over and over...great for entertaining!!! THANKS, AARON!!

    A leftover saver

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I have won my husband heart with this recipe thank you Bid Daddy! My husband never ate left over's from the freezer. I had bake game hens for a dinner party about a month ago and they were scrumptious. But I had seal-a-meal them and put them into the freezer and could not find a way to bring them back to the table without him knowing that were leftovers. So I look on foodtv and found this recipe and made the sauce and served. He loved it! Thank you Big Daddy helping me to keep my Big Daddy happy.
