I pre-seasoned, stuffed the hens with garlic and THEN deep-fried them. I added cayenne for a little kick, and a tiny bit of Asian sea salt first. I wrapped them in plastic and let them sit for a couple of hours, until I was ready to cook them. I then discovered that I didnt have hoisin, like I thought I did. I substituted teriyaki, honey and more cayenne (I like a little kick. It was delicious, and very, very easy.

I would imagine that it would have been excellent if I had done it exacly like Aaron did his, which is why I gave it five stars. It was close to excellent, but better than good!

Big Daddy has another winner on his hands. While I couldn't find a decent sized cornish hen, this recipe worked just as well with chicken. The sauce was fantastic, and finishing the dish up in the oven made it nice and sticky and yummy. I didn't try the egg rolls this time out, but I was able to find the "snake" beans at my grocer. All and all a very palete pleasing meal. I also skipped the lychee martini and had a nice big bottle of Asahi instead!

This recipe was extremely delicious, and everyone should try it. The hen was moist and delicious and the glaze gave it a tremendous amount of added flavor. It tasted better than I imagined.

Big Daddy's cornish Hen is simply the best. The beans were tasty and the egg rolls were easy to make. I loved the meal.

I love Big Daddy's House but this chicken fell flat to me. The sauce was not as tasty as it looked. Even though it was just okay it will not stop me from trying other recipes from Big Daddy.

I consider myself fairly proficient when it comes to cooking and by itself, the cornish hen was easy to prepare. However, when you add all of the other menu items from that show, as I attempted to do, it was very time consuming. The most difficult part was trying to make everything come out at or around the same time "as seen on TV".

it was very easy to cook, although I think that if you served this with the egg rolls and rice, the chicken could had been just oven baked. but it was good anyway my family loved it.
