Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon minced red onion
- 1 teaspoon sweet pickle relish
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1 teaspoon crab boil seasoning (recommended: Old Bay)
- 2 to 3 dashes hot sauce
- Pinch cayenne
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
Directions
In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients together until well incorporated. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

I like this recipe overall, but was too salty for my taste. I think the fact that I didn't use Ol Bay seasoning, but another brand of "seafood seasoning" may have been the reason-first ingredient was salt! then more salt was added according to the recipe. Added more mayo, relish and lemon juice to cut down salty taste.

YUM! This tartar sauce is by far my favorite. All the ingredients marry beautifully, and in my opinion, the Old Bay seasoning is what really makes it stand out. I have tried several of Aaron's recipes, and so far, they have all been delicious!

Made shrimp/ tuna patties and didn't realize all the tartar sauce was GONE, and I was not about to buy any do to time constraints. This recipe came in handy and from the reviews I received, I think I no longer have a reason to buy tartar sauce again.... Thanks for the recipe.....
