Man, every Big Daddy recipe I've tried so far has been awesome!
The mini shepards pies were the bomb! I will make these again...today!
The quantities are off though - I do agree. The hamburger filling is alot and I have a whole container left over, next time I will buy more biscuits! The kids loved them : I want Big Daddy on TV EVERY DAY!

But the quantities on this are wayyyyyy off. I cut back on the spices after reading the other reviews, but it was still way too overseasoned. I had quite a bit of filling left over, and where the heck are you supposed to put 2 CUPS of the cheese? I got a cup on at most. If I do make these again, I'll cut back even more on the seasoning, (you don't need onion powder and garlic powder on top of actual minced onion and garlic. I will also buy 2 cans of the biscuits so I'll have enough to use all of the ingredients.

I tried this recipe last night and they came out great. I could taste the fresh rosemary along with everything else. Very easy to make and takes little prepration. I think that they would make great appetizers for a party and a fun way to get children involved in learning how to prepare hearty and tasty meals. The Grandis biscuits came out a little puffy so I had to mash them down in order to get the fillin in. For the mashed potatoes, I would use Country Crock mashed potatoes in the recipe. They are pretty tasty as well. Keep up the good work.

this recipe was delicious. it was quick and easy and it tasted great. i used a larger muffin pan that made 6 so i could get more of the filling in. the biscuits puffed up a bit so in the middle of baking them i had to push them down with a spoon but they came out perfect in the end. I used the flaky grands. I didn't have the herbs so i used the dried ones, and i also assembled in a different order. i put the beef then the mashed and cheese. the potatoes make a good top to the pies. I will be making these again. they were awesome.

This was my first attempt to shepard's pie and it came out tasty. I did a little substitution of ingredients. I used ground turkey, fresh peas, fresh corn and vegetable stock. Still awesome and filling. Will def make these again :

I'm a novice cook. This is the first recipe that I've attempted from foodnetwork.com. I cooked it over a week ago and my family's still raving about it! This is definitely a recipe that I'll be holding on to!

This was an excellent recipe! I had taken some ground beef out to cook for dinner yesterday. I wanted to make something different. I turned on my TV and watched Big Daddy prepare this wonderfully simple dish. I had all of the ingredients in my kitchen. My daughter was eager to taste this new dish. She gave it a thumbs up and even said that it tasted good to her. Needless to say, we will be adding this recipe to our files.

This sounds like it could become a favorite of ours, but has anybody tried this recipe using Pillsbury Crescent Rolls instead of biscuits? It would probably lighten up the meal quite a bit!
