My husband who is always saying it needs a little kick to it, could hardly eat it. I should have known having watched Aaron's friend almost choke when she ate it. I did put in only a few seeds....thank God I didn't put them all in. I will try this recipe again using the jalapeno sparingly maybe with a little bit of bell pepper, too. I like spicy but this was really too much. It was difficult to taste the shrimp.

I just made this recipe for my daughter and myself! This is the best sandwich I've ever had. It's full of flavor, color, just filled with excellence. My daughter even agreed the best shrimp recipe she's eaten. I'm so proud to say this will be one of our family recipes for years to come. I'm even looking forward to making this recipe for family and friends. My daughter helped me cut up the vegetables, then I did the rest. I was so amazed with mixing together the shrimp salad along with the onion jam. (I have to admit, mine did not turn into a jelly, but who cares The flavor of the onion jam stands alone also. I put the two together on the perfect soft bun, and was very impressed. Thanks Aaron for the perfect meal :

This is a wonderful recipe. We loved the shrimp salad and also the onion jam. My onions didn't turn exactly into jam and were still a little crunchy, but they were awesome! My grown son (who hates anything with mayonnaise in it actually loved the sandwich and made me promise to save him some for another sandwich the next day. Thankis, Big Daddy!

With the first bite, everyone was "ohhing" and "ahhing" the sandwich. It's definitely a keeper. It's a great recipe to show off. My husband LOVED it.

OMG! I'm not 100% sure that I got the onion jam because I didn't know if I was supposed to cook it slowly with the top on or off. And I wasn't sure if it would reach the syrupy consistency towards the end of cooking or while cooling! Wish he would have been more detailed in his instructions. Anywho, this sandwich was THA BOMB! The "flavors" (Aaron McCargo's favorite word. My boyfirend and I love to count how many times he say it! were astounding, delicious! I just wolfed down 2 mini sandwiches and am about to wolf down 1 more. It was sooooooooooooooo good! I love Aaron, so far EVERY recipe that I have tried has ben 5 stars! I never miss his show!

I thought this recipe was very good! I omitted the jalapeno (don't like the heat. Someone suggested serving this with Hawaiian rolls, and that is something I will try next time. I thought the onion jelly was good, but a bit too sweet. I am not a wine drinker, so I bought a red wine, but it was a sweet red wine. That probably contributed to the dominant sweet flavor of my jelly. I'll make some adjustments next time to minimize the sweetness.

I paired the sandwiches with the spinach salad with sweet bacon vinaigrette as shown in the on-air episode. The pairing was a bit too onion-sweet for me. In my opinion, each recipe was very good on its own but didn't work well paired together. Maybe next time I'll try pairing the salad with a chicken dish. All in all, very yummy food! Thanks, Aaron!

This recipe was absolutely fabulous! I had to add a little more shrimp then the pound it asked for cuz the largest shrimp my market had were 21/26. The onion jam rocked! The jam would be awesome on any sandwich or piece of meat. I also turned this recipe into a club sandwich and added bacon, lettuce and tomato. This recipe is a keeper! Thanks Aaron you rock!
