My first time ever seeing this show was the Thanksgiving Edition. This receipe caught my eye. Today we are enjoyed the Mini Sweet Potatoe pies at work and of course everyone loves them! I could not find the mini crusts anywhere so I made a home made crust. Delicious! I am a Fan - I added future eposides to my DVR! Happy Thanksigiving!!! :

Watch this show with my kids every Sunday afternoon since the very beginning. They love the show. My 9 & 7-year old cooks decided to make this one themselves. The only thing we did differently was do fresh sweet potatoes instead of canned because I had plenty of them available which meant I added a little more sugar to the mixture. I could not find the pre-made shells so I used refrigerated dough and cut them out. All of the kids and the hubby ate some last night (especially the 14-year old and again this morning with their breakfast. I brought some to work so others could try it and everybody stated how good they were especially the topping. This recipe will now be a staple in our home and hopefully my little cooks, whom are always experimenting with changing recipes, will continue to use this as they grow into adults. Thanks Aaron.

Aaron like you were saying when my mom cooks sweet potato pies its a all night thing. She cooks the turkey and greens and stuff out of the way, leaving late night fo cooking desserts. II am going to try this recipe for the first time because I never tempted to make my Mom's great sweet potato pies. Because if you screwed it up, you will never hear this end of it. I've made the sweet potato casserole and everyone liked it. So this time I'm going to try this recipe but throw some chopped up pecans in them, just to give a nutty crunch. Also if time permits I'm going to try your Tempura Fried String Beans, my daughter wants me to cook them for her. But instead of Spicy Cranberry Dip, she wants to use her Spicy Honey Mustard Sauce. She wants to go to culinary school, she only 12.

I made them this morning while drinking my coffee and darn-had one for breakfast too. Not a good idea, ha? You betya! But I made it according to instructions that I was so proud of myself and have to treat my salivary glands with one! This is sooo goood! Aaron should mass produce this with "Aaron's Mini-Sweet potato pie" on the box and "Aaron's Cinnamon butter cream frosting". 5 stars for passion & taste!

Aaron, you definitely outdid yourself this time! These pies were so delicious and addicting. I could not find the little pre-made pie shells, BUT I was able to cut out refrigerated pie dough and simply mold them to fit the muffin tin. I also used regular sized muffin molds as my family is small. I really liked the larger size mini-pie. Thanks so much...this recipe will grace our table for years to come!

We also saw your show for the first time this past weekend. Found you a pleasure to watch and I loved the recipes. I too am going to try the Mini Sweet Potoato Pies for Thanksgiving. However, I have not been able to find the mini pie crusts.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to where these can be found? My local grocery only had very, very tiny Phyllo dough cups and regular pre-made pie crusts.
    Thanks

I saw your show over the weekend for the first time. I was impressed with the Thanksgiving dinner you prepared. I am going to try the mini sweet potato pies and take them over my grandma's house for Thanksgiving. I hope they turn out great. I'm a little nervous I'm not the greatest cook and I want my family to enjoy them, wish me luck. Thanks.

Caught your show first time, too, on Sunday. Watched you make the mini sweet potato pies. I'm nervous about making something new. especially with the canned yams, for the big day, but I'm going to try them and I'll be back to let you know how they turn out. I already have the mini bite-size sweet tart shells made by Clearbrook Farms from a specialty shop and haven't found anything worthwhile to fill them with...until I saw your show. Happy Thanksgiving!
