Excellent simple recipe! I've made the roast once for the pork and pasta dish, which was delicious. I'm making the pork and noodle soup tonight, I'm sure it will be great.

OMG. The BEST pork roast recipe! Can't believe it was so easy! Used some of the roast to make the Pork & Pappardelle Pasta. Used egg noodles instead of Pappardelle. Used only 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes as another reviewer suggested, and that was plenty of heat for us.

I was in a motel watching you make this recipe. Then you made an orienal soup using some of the pork. I had to leave as hubby said we had to go. It was 2 chpd.l carrots, chpd onion, portabello mushrooms, I missed the liquid you put into it, I imagine there was chicken broth or vegetable broth. I wanted that recipe. It was 2 wks ago. Please help

Put a 6 and a half pound pork shoulder on rack as he suggested, but added a little water at the bottom and covered with tin foil. Turned out great!! Also did the Bourbon barbecue sauce after I shredded the pork - my picky eaters said it was the best ever!! thank you for a new take on plain old pulled pork barbecue sandwiches! Can't wait to make the soup tomorrow!
