This was wonderful. The flavors were layered, first the creamy richness of the Creme fraiche, then the spicy cayenne and then the fresh sweet deep mango.

I added cardamom because fruits love cardamom,

These were fabulous. I would omit the crema next time, personal choice. This was the first time I grilled fruit. WOW! What a great flavor.

This is amazing!!! I bought about 40 mangoes a week ago because they are only 49 cents each now so I load up on them when they are on sale, I freeze most of them but keep some on hand to make Mango Julius's with them, make salsa with them, etc. so I saw this recipe and had to make this immediately. This is soooooo good.
Thanks Aaron, I don't usually like your show because your are too hard to understand sometimes but some of the recipes and ingredients catch my eye and I had to try them.
I was grilling pork chops and some veggies today and threw on the mangoes on the grill too.....with the seasonings you suggested.
Very very very good, thank you again.

I am often disappointed when reviewers post a review of a recipe that is so modified it no longer resembles the original recipe. Admittedly, I had to modify this recipe, but I feel the foundation remained the same so hopefully the review is helpful. You be the judge.

Modifications: I don't have a grill so I used a grill pan on the stove. I also didn't have crema, but I can imagine that the coolness off the crema would really offset the heat and sweet of the mango.

What I did: I peeled and sliced a mango and simply seasoned it with medium sea salt, freshly ground pepper and cayenne pepper. In a non-stick fry pan I heated about a tablespoon of olive oil over high heat. I added the seasoned sliced mango for just a few minutes.

I always liked cooked mango and of course the sweetness of the fruit really balanced the heat of the seasonings. Give this a shot!
