    I STARTED WATCHING YOU RECENTLY AFTER MISSING CHURCH AND THE FIRST MEAL WAS THE SWEET SPICY COLLARD GREENS. IT TOOK ME AWHILE TO TRY TO MAKE. LET ME TELL YOU, I WAS SO EXCITED. I WANTED TO MAKE SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR "OUR SUNDAY DINNER", WHICH IS A BIG THING WITH MY FAMILY. EVERYONE L-O-V-E THEM. AND THE FACT THERE WAS NO FAT MEAT REQUIRED, THEREFORE THEY WERE GOOD AND HEALTHY FOR YOU AS WELL. I NOW TAPE YOUR SHOWS BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO MISS A THING. LOVE YOU AND YOUR RECEIPES,. I GOING TO TRY YOUR SLAMMING SANDWICHES, POT ROAST NEXT. I'LL LET YOU KNOW WHAT I THINK.

    This is a great alternative to the southern recipe that I'm used too. I love the sweet and spicy contrast. I have made these greens about 5 times already. I must say that I did have to reduce the amount of red pepper flakes because it was a little too spicy but the recipe has been a hit in my home. Thanks Big Daddy!!

    I've made this many times since I saw him cook it on TV. It is an excellent way to cook greens. Christie, if you have ever seen greens in the produce section of the store, they come in bunches....This is what he is referring to. The rest of the measurements are spot on. Great job Big Daddy!

    Aaron probably makes this without a recipe, but whomever transposed it did a horrible job;

    what does a large bunch weight?
    1 tablespoon salt????
    1 tablespoon red pepper flakes???
    1 tablespoon black pepper?
    cook time 8-11 minutes???
    called for salt and pepper, but did not include in the instruction portion of the recipe

    I think someone is messing with us and YET everyone gave it a 5???? How many of you actually made this recipe?

    I made these for my family on New Year's Day and they loved it. I have a large family and I had everyone taste them. My sister in law doesn't even eat them but she liked these. My brother asked if that was all I cooked. I had to make more this past Sun. b/c they loved it so much. I have something new to add to my recipe collection. Thanks and keep them coming. I love the show and the SMILE!!!

    I cannot believe that you got such flavor from collards without a hamhock. I love this recipe and will probably never cook collards any other way now. The flavors were just awesome. You are a wonderful cook.

    My husband and daughter never would eat collards. However, when he saw this recipe, he wanted to try it. It is now a weekly dish in our home. My daughter and her husband now eat collards. We have had to make copies of this recipe for everyone in both our families. The spices are just right for us. Thanks Aaron for a great and healthy dish.

    I haven't cooked collards in years because I didn't know how to season them without pork. Tried the smoke turkey but didn't like it. Aaron...you're the man!!
    I love this recipe. Just fixed them today for the New Year!! I used 2 teaspoons of the red pepper flakes and for us that was just the right amount of heat. I will be cooking collards again in the near future.
