However.....I am loving this recipe. I saw the show when Aaron made it and Ithought it looked so delicious. I did not have fresh thyme, used dry instead. I blanched the asparagus for a minute or two in chicken stock to take away some of the "woody" taste of asparagus. I don't really think the shitake mushrooms do much for the dish and seemed to add the "woody" taste to the dish that I was trying to take away. All in all, I would make again.

A friend made this for a party I hosted and it was a huge hit- I was so glad there was just a little left over for me to eat the next day! She told me where she found the recipe, so I hurried to print it out- I will be making this one for sure.

My husband hates asparagus but he loves this recipe. It's the only time I've ever seen him eat and LOVE asparagus. We're have a group of people over tonight for dinner and he made a special request to have it on the menu. Thanks Aaron for your creativity!

This was delicious. I really like asparagus but really did not know what to do with them. This was an easy and delicious recipe. I will be making this again.

Being a neophyte in the kitchen I was a little reluctant to try this dish. Never the less it was a tremendous success. I love to grill, with asparagus being a main stay for my vegetables. Since trying this dish it has been the only way I?ve been grilling asparagus. The only change I made to the recipe was to use only a small amount of the sun dried tomatoes. I think if you use more the flavor would be over powering.

My sister and I made this recipe for her birthday as a side for grilled salmon. It was AWESOME!!! Simple, easy, quick and delicious. The spices were PERFECT!!!
In the past I have always steamed asparagus, now that I know how good it is grilled, the possibilities are endless.
Aaron you are the bomb!! I have watched you from the beginning and you have evolved into a fantastic Food Network star.
I can't wait to try some of your other recipes.

I made this recipe EXACTLY as written. It turned out so extremely salty I had to throw the entire dish in the garbage. I saw the show. I watched very carefully and notice there appeared to be way way way more salt and herbs from the measured amounts the recipe calls for in the mixture I created then what I saw on the show. I don't doubt that it's a good recipe idea and when made with different measurements would be very good. It's frustrating to see something made on a show with the host "Eyeballing" the ingredients too much and when we viewers end up making it from exact measurements given on the written recipe the final product ends up horrible. This mistake was very expensive for me! I have come to trust and respect show hosts who are much more carful to this issue.
