I usually pass up carrot salad, but I gave this carrot slaw a try, and it is really tasty! The red pepper flakes give the slaw just a bit of unexpected heat. Since I cook for two, I bought a 10 oz bag of shredded carrots and halved the recipe. This will be a great healthy side dish for future meals.

I've made this about 4 times now and it hasn't gotten old yet. It's tasty and low in calories and the kids love it.

Can you cook? Boy! Can you cook! This slaw is WONDERFUL, as are each and every one of your recipes that I've tried so far. You are now my favorite chef on FoodNetwork! My record settings are for every one of your shows, just in case I might miss one. I also thoroughly enjoy your enthusiasm and cheerfulness. As my kids would say, YOU ROCK!

This is different from the usual green veggies and salads- and tastes even better when left in the fridge overnight. And Its great as a side dish with Jerk chicken- using Aaron's Jerk rub recipe of course! My family loves his recipes because they are always familiar favorites with an edge or twist. Thanks to Aaron and keep em comin!

This recipe was truly awesome! It is definitely a keeper. I was hesitant to use the crushed red pepper. However, it makes the salad. I did decrease the amount to half a teaspoon. My husband says he is now a fan. He did not like carrot salad before he tried your recipe.

    Thanks Big Daddy!
