I don't know about the overall recipe but this rub is the BEST! I keep it ready for use on anything!

Very good! Seeing as how its still a little chilly outside, we baked ours the whole way. 1 1/2 hours covered, take out let cool, brush with buttermilk sauce/add more dry rub, broil 500 degrees 10 minutes. Perfect!

ohhh emmm geeee!!!! This is sooo good!!! I am not fond of spicy ribs so i omitted some of da hot stuff. I used half smoked paprika and half regular paprika of the 1/4c. I used 2tbsp of regular chili powder, 1 tsp cayenne, 1 tbsp pepper, 1 tsp flakes. I didnt grill so i dipped da ribs into da sauce and broil for 5 minutes then I rub da dry rub on da ribs as directed and turning them so da caramelization is even. Da sauce and da dry rub oh boy they are soooo ono (hawaiian word for delicious. I will try brisket next time. Aloha!!!

I tried this rub for 4th of July 2012 and it was really good. I did omit the sugar in the dipping sauce and just used the broth from the ribs with the cola and I didn't have any butter milk either and they came out sweet and rich. Oh and I did use half white pepper and black pepper. Really GOOD!! I will do it again this same way.

This recipe is great!!! The ribs had a little kick to them that the adults at the housewarming party absolutely loved. I followed the recipe precisely but I did not make the buttermilk sauce. We wanted to keep the ribs as dry and used a homemade regular bbq sauce on the side. It was amazing the flavor that the ribs had with no sauce on them. I wanted everyone to be able to taste the actual rub. It was a great idea to serve the sauce on the side.

I've made these at least a dozen times for dinner parties/pot lucks, and continue to get compliments on them. I prefer to steam the ribs rather than stew them, as you don't use as much of the rub. Also, I find that stewing them in the cola removes all of the rub from the ribs. The recipe for the dry rub will make a lot extra, which I've learned to store away for the next time. I don't throw the ribs back in the oven after BBQing with the reduced cider glaze, as I find that this already gives the sweet/hot flavour. Also, I don't use the buttermilk. THESE ARE THE BEST!
