This recipie has become a Thanksgiving tradition for a few years now since I started serving fried turkey. The Stuffing is perfectly paired with the turkey. I do use a soft chorizo though.

My husband is 100% Portuguese. For our 1st Thanksgiving together, I cooked dinner for us and 28 of our close friends (as our family all live hours away!. I made this stuffing the evening before to have it out of the way. Well, I had to make another pan, because my husband ate the entire pan! No kidding. It has the traditional flavors of Portuguese cooking, and is so delicious. Highly recommend this for a side dish any time of the year!

I made this for Thanksgiving this year; the only substitution I made was that instead of chorizo, I used chicken apple sausage. It was a delicious stuffing, and VERY easy to make. I'm not sure why it's rated as medium difficulty, but other than that, no complaints! This will become part of my regular repertoire... :-

Last year, I made the turkey and stuffing for our family dinner. People argued over who got to take home the little that was left. I have never seen people in my family reach for second and third helpings of stuffing. I am making it again.

I'm not a big stuffing eater, but after I made this stuffing. It has become our staple for the Holidays.
