This is the best pie crust recipe I've ever come across. Since losing my deceased great grandmothers recipe, I have searched for a crust that would do hers justice. This is absolutely the closest I have found. It was easy to make and roll out. The only thing I found was that I needed to use closer to 5 tablespoons of water, but that could be because I live in AZ and it's dry here. Nice and flaky crust, tasted wonderful. Great reviews from friends and family on the crust.

I thought I would never find that perfect easy to make pie crust! I too had no success with pie crusts I had tried in the past, and ended up just giving up on pies (eventually making them only on rare occasions. Then I saw this on Thanksgiving Top Ten and right away went online to print out the recipe, went straight to the kitchen to make it and was so happy!!! I will be making more pies now!

I am a good southern cook and I can bake just about anything...my one and only challenge is pie crust...I have NEVER been successful in making pie crust...I have made a many that turned into trash cans or made dumplings out of -- until this recipe! I aced it today! Thank you for sharing your recipe! I saw it on the Top Ten today and then I went and looked this up and I finally made pie crust I am proud of!!! I am in my mid fifties and I have baked and cooked since I was very young so this is a really big deal for me!
