    I don't understand why someone would not like this "recipe". I mean these are the key ingredients in majority of Indian meat curries. Different regions may add or blend this with different things now or later in the cooking process.
    I appreciate aarti covering the basics for me.

    I threw away my store bought garam masala because it left a bitter aftertaste after each bite. I thought Aarti's might be the answer, but so far, it tastes just the same as the store bought! I usually love food in restaurants that contain garam masala, so this is a huge mystery to me. Maybe the spices need to be toasted first? It is an expensive experiment. I'll just have to try someone else's recipe.
