This was a refreshing accompaniment to the chicken tikka masala by aarti,it was very nice paired with the spicyness of the chicken.

I have never used cumin before but I have had it around for a while. I made a half recipe since there is only me here but I found the slaw very, very untasty. Sorry but it was immediately disposed of and I will not be using cumin again, either. Maybe the cumin went bad or...?

My husband & I loved this salad. It lasted all week. The peanuts went a bit sogy so next time I would add them each time instead of all at once. But a great recipe Aarti and so few ingredients!

This is crisp and refreshing, and a great contrast to a rich meat or other savory main course. I used candied walnuts instead of peanuts, and it added another layer of sweet/tangy. I don't like creamy cole slaws, so I loved every bite of this. I like to be very liberal with the lime juice.

Very fun, fresh and inventive. I've made this a few times and the family really loves it.

A lovely, tangy salad which would make a great alternative to "been there done that" coleslaws.
Thank you again Aarti ! :

This was delicious. Very refreshing. Only needed half the lime juicy called for though.

I was very disappointed... I made this because I thought it would be different and fun. I was very bitter, tart and just plain lacking. It felt like we were chewing on bitter blah cabbage. None of my family liked it and ended up tossing it all in the trash.

OH YEAH! Aarti, you just keep those recipes coming, Girl! :-
If you think this slaw is "lacking," just let it sit in the fridge for a day. It is so good, I just couldn't believe it! I added about double the peanuts, just because I like them. But the interplay between the sweet/tart Granny Smith apple and the sweet/tart dressing is a true winner.

The star rating is giving me trouble today. If it doesn't show I gave it 5. I was making 3 of her dishes last night & cheated by purchasing shredded red & white cabbage. No problem there. Even though I had the honey on the counter I forgot to put it in the dressing. No problem there. It tasted great & looking forward to making it again. It was light, refreshing & tasty. A perfect compliment to other more spicy Aarti inspired food I was making. Thx so much
