Made these for a party. They were AWESOME and a huge hit... not one of them came home with me. They go great with a nice cold beer! They did take a little longer (about 10 extra mins in the oven to crisp up the bacon.

I made this dish for a holiday party and it was a tremendous success. I thought I would have leftovers, but they were all gone. The mix of sweet, salty and spicy works very nicely. I got lots of compliments. I do agree with other reviewers that said the cooking time was closer to 45 minutes.

This was really good. I had to cook it 40 to 45 minutes longer for the bacon to crisp. Im gonna use pre cooked bacon the next time I make these. Thanks Aarti for sharing this recipe.

This was FABULOUS! I've seen lots of variations of these type of jalapenos, but never with apple and it was the perfect contrast to cheese and bacon. Great job Aarti!

Meh. I read thru all the suggestions. Used applewood smoked bacon, added a bit of hot sauce & seeds to the filling & made sure to use enough salt, but in the end it seems flavor was cooked out. The bacon wrapped around it made it difficult to eat as a finger appetizer & made the filling, which before cooked was delicious, greasy. So, I'm going to make again w/ these modifications:
I'm going to cook the bacon then chop. Using pickled jaleponos, pipe the filling in & sprinkle bacon on top. I'll serve it as a cold appetizer & I think that may be the trick. Once I try it myself I'll update the review.

These are fantastic! Best take on a jalapeno popper I've had. I used maple bacon and wrapped them on an angle to cover the bulk of the cheese. I didn't mind a bit bubbling over since it shows people a hint of what's inside.

I've also made done this appetizer as an entree by adding chicken. I sauteed the jalapeno in a little olive oil til tender. I took boneless, skinless chicken breast and pounded it flat. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the top and then rolled the breast. Then wrapped the breast in the bacon. Bake for about 40-45 minutes.

Phenomenal! Fed these to very "traditional food" folk and they loved them. You can't beat the sweet and savory flavor of these!

These were fantastic. I went to a friend's house for dinner and she had made this appetizer. Everyone raved about them! I am making thm for a dinner this week. They are easy to make and simply delicious! I have made other jalapeno appetizers before, but this is the best. I might try it with turkey bacon to reduce the fat, and use low fat cream cheese. Will let you know!

Great stuff, easy to make! I added a little honey to the mixture to give a little more sweetness.
