Superstar recipe! Easy, just the right amount of heat, love the apple in the background. Will join my short list of go to appetizers. A little hint - take Aarti's advice about using gloves. Five hours after making these, and numerous handwashings, taking out my contacts was more of a challenge than expected!

These were the star of our super bowl party. A couple things....next time I will bake them on a cooling rack on my cookie sheet (there was a lot of oil from the bacon they were swimming in. I also added a Tbsp agave to the filling. Otherwise....next time I am just makin' more!

POST UPDATE: I'm making these for the second straight Super Bowl tomorrow and wanted to share some thoughts. The first time I made the pop 'ems they lacked that unmistakable jalapeno kick. So the second time I made them (about a month ago, I scraped out all the seeds and left in some of the ribs. Oops! HUGE MISTAKE. They literally blew our faces off and we're spicy food lovers! So, for tomorrow's batch, I'm going to add some spice to the cream cheese mixture. Some hot sauce right in with the scallions and apples. I'll let you know how they turn out!

Surprisingly good. The apples only added a hint of sweetness/tartness.

Great recipe!! These Pop 'Ems flew off the plate. The only change I made was leaving some of the Jalapeno seeds in the mix for some heat.

i love jalapenos these i did how i always do, no apple or scallions, just big jalepenos, thick bacon, and cream cheese. i used my smoker it adds some good flavor.300degrees for 30 minutes or until jalepenos are tender.

YUM! Great hors d'oeuvres. These dissapeared quickly. I made some with mini sweet red peppers in case people didn't want the jalepenos.

Also made the giddy up steak from this episode and put it on crostini. Yum, too!
