I thoroughly enjoyed this episode!!!! Everything looked great and it was an easy recipe to follow. I have one concern though before I attempt to try this - I am allergic to carrots (boo hoo hoo so what could I possibly use as a substitute? I plan to make this for family and friends using gloves of course, but I would love to taste this as well with something close to carrots as possible. Any suggestions? Thanks and keep bringing great recipes to enjoy at home!!!

I want to thank you for being open about your gluten intolerance on the show, and for showing an alternative solution. There are very few shows that give those of us with Celiac Disease or Gluten Intolerance any alternative ideas. I would love seeing more of this on your show. Last season, despite being open about this in your blog, you did make and taste several items with gluten on your show, and I cringed every time I saw you do it, knowing what the long term consequences can be. I bet that was rough on you. I'm so glad you are not going to do that this season. I just hope you really starts working on some new GF recipes to show us, and that the network is supportive. You are such a lovely, sunny personality with a great show, and a big favorite of mine since I first saw you on The Next Food Network Star. As for soy sauce, Caramel, even though made from wheat, tests negative for gluten.

Aarti, to truly make the Banh-mi Wrap gluten free, use a Gluten Free SOY SAUCE. The only one I am familiar with is made by SAN-J.
