These sandwiches were delicious. Instead of using white, I used Ukrainian bread from the grocery store -- I think it made the flavors really work together.

The mayo was really good (even though I forgot to toast the spices. It had a really unique flavor to it. The only reason I gave this recipe 4 stars instead of 5 is because I thought that the sandwich was a bit dry and probably could've used a tomato slice or two. I will definitely make this sandwich again when my home-grown tomatoes and cucumbers are ready!

I can't tell you how many times I've made this. We had so many cucumbers in our garden. We had this every weekend and never got tired of it.

I used the filling in a small biscuit and served it as an appetizer at a party. I got rave reviews and had to email the recipe to several of my friends.

Aarti, I am so happy for you that you won the next food network star! I was routing for you. This recipe was wonderful - I enjoy using recipes that call for herbs in my garden. I don't have a lot of recipes for mint - this was fabulous - you added a little health to the mayo and my son loved it too. I will make it again. I- it would be good to note that a hearty stand-up white bread that can handle a little rough and tumble would be good. AND don't add salt until you try the sammy first. We served this with grapes - great accompaniment. I am one of your biggest fans! <3

My 12-year-old daughter hates having sandwiches in her school lunch; but today, we achieved a milestone in our household with the BLC. After she made one last night for supper, she begged for one in her school lunch today (her parents did too. We all loved them -- great, fresh taste and a crunchy texture too. No one missed a messy, drippy tomato. We will be making it again. Thank you, Aarti

I was afraid of the spices and the mint leaves in my mayo. I was so surprised. I beyond love this recipe. Soo good! the lettuce and cucumbers tasted so refreshing and paired well with the salty bacon and the spice heaven of the mayo. Yum. I heart u Aarti.

This sandwich looked so good on TV and then reading over the ingredients I thought this would either be REALLY YUMMY or really bad. REALLY YUMMY!!! (Thank goodness! All the textures go together so well. It really is a party in your mouth, different flavors appear after every chew. Advice, do NOT dip your finger in the mayo mixture before you try the sandwich... you will find yourself dipping your finger, chips, crackers, and bread all through out the cooking process!!! : Well done, thanks for something original!!

Good recipe. The mayo is what makes the sandwich. I was making lunch for two so I halved the mayo ingredients. I used turkey bacon, romaine lettuce, and wheat bread instead. The mayo is even good just for dipping cucumber slices. It was a good use of my grandfather's homegrown cucumbers and frash mint from my mom's garden.

Made this for our RV weekend Gourmet club getaway. This was by far, the winning recipe. Everybody just raved about the sandwich. The mayo was outstanding. I added slices of home grown tomatoes with the cucumber.
    A keeper for sure.
