Really tasty and filling dish with lovely flavoring - I made it w 1/4 cup ginger as that was all I had - everything else was the same. I thought the serrano being only sliced through but not separated gave a subtle kick which was great for those who don't like too much heat! Thank you again Aarti :

Came home late, looked in the fridge and found cauliflower and potatoes. This recipe was easy and fun to make. I think it was a bit heavy on the ginger, but the heat was just right. I did add some frozen peas for color. Will made this again for sure.

Added green peas for freshness and color. Needed more water than called for in the recipe to provide the proper amount of sauce. Very good.

Aloo Gobi is one of my all time favorite dishes. We did really like this version, but I definitely wanted more spice in it. I used less oil, more potatoes and a squeeze of lemon for our tastes.

Fantastic! I put a squeeze lemon juice on top with the cilantro which added just a little extra flavor!

You posted that you served this dish with "Butter Chicken." Was that chicken recipe from this site? Whose recipe is it? I would also like to try it.
    Thanks.

This was good, I nice way to incorporate cauliflower. We used a whole Serrano and not only was the heat level a bit high for my husband but sometimes we could only taste the pepper rather than the spices and vegetables. We'll probably ditch the Serrano completely next time and just add a bit of cayenne towards the end - to taste.

I served this with Butter Chicken and I don't know which was better. They went so well together. This recipe was super easy, super spicy, and super delicious. I didn't even run the ginger-garlic mix through the food processor, I just mixed it all in a bowl. My alterations as as follows: I used 2 jalepenos in place of the serrano, sesame oil and olive oil in place of peanut oil, and a bit of garlic salt and pumpkin pie spice in place of the salt. I also used frizzed mixed veggies (broccoli, squash, carrots, peppers, and asparagus in place of cauliflower and potatoes for a healthier more colorful version. I can't wait to make this recipe again. It only took about 25 minutes and was just the right side for the butter chicken.
