    Best Chai ever!
I add sweetener (homemade caramel sauce from Ina and half and half to the cup. Then add another 2 cups water to the saucepan for next time. I keep it on the stove most of the week. I tried every chai tea bag I came across and found them all lacking - they seemed to be missing the cardamom.
This is good with tea (black, white or green or without (before bed. It's so comforting. Frothed milk is good too, as is the honey, as well as adding a few smoked peppercorns to the blend. Have fun with it, enjoy it! It's delicious.

Delicious! I refrigerated it overnight and had it in the morning, which made iced coffee pale in comparison! Refreshing, light and so comforting with a beautiful layering of flavors. I followed the recipe almost exactly, but decided to make it a soy chai latte by adding two cups of soy milk. My local supermarket doesn't carry green cardamom pods, so I went to a health foods store/natural market to get them. This has definitely become my staple chai recipe although I may add vanilla extract in my next batch for some added complexity. Thank you Aarti! Love you and your show!

I had a great cup of chai at a local Indian restaurant last Friday and was craving it all weekend. I remembered seeing this on your show and was excited to give it a try, hoping it would be an equal to my previous cup. I was pleased at how easy this was to make and it was as good, if not better than the restaurant's version. I will be making this for my Witches Tea this Friday night with the girls. I know it will be a hit.

This is a very flavorful tea. However, if you are used to the commercial varieties, be warned, this is not the sweet, sugary tea that you would purchase from Starbuck, etc. The only real drawback is that this recipe is a lot of work for two cups of tea. If you like chai and are a regular tea drinker, I would recommend making a larger batch and refrigerate what you don't use.

I really enjoyed this recipe. My husband loves chai tea, but because he has type II diabetes he had given it up. Until I saw Aarti's show, I never thought about making it from scratch. I was excited to surprise my husband with his favorite pre-diabetes "coffee shop" beverage. I love the fact you can control the sweetness and sweetner. I used honey and my husband used splenda. All I can say is yum.
