As I sit here lapping up the rest of the leftovers from dinner last night, all I can say is "fantastic"! Well, that's a lie...I can also say "yummy", "mmmmmm", "please don't let it be the last bite, yet", "this tastes so good" and "I want more"!
My variations were to cut the butter in half and no cream. I actually forgot to put the cream in, but it is so good without it that next time I'll save the calories and fat on purpose. I used the 2 serranos minus the seeds, and it was not spicy at all. Next time I will save myself the work of cutting them out. I could not find the fenugreek, but can't say I missed it. I agree with the other reviewers to double the chicken so you have plenty of leftovers! This was even better the next day, and there is plenty of sauce to handle the extra chicken. Thank you, Aarti, for bringing Indian food to the home cooks everywhere!
Also, love the garlic-ginger paste! This will be a staple in my fridge from now on!

Wow, this was my first try at Indian food and what a success! I did have to adjust a few ingredients for my families particular tastes. I could not find good, fresh roma tomatoes, so I used a can of low sodium tomato sauce, and the amount of ginger made me nervous as I am not a huge fan so I only used about half the required amount - I loved it! I can't wait till we pull out our grill so I can try this recipe grilled, I de-boned a whole chicken and cooked it on a rack in the oven, then chopped it up and put it in the sauce.Served it over plain rice cooked in coconut water. I can't wait till fresh veggies and the grill are available, I imagine that grilled taste only adds the the awesomeness of this dish,

I used boneless-skinless chicken breasts instead of thighs and doubled them, used garlic-ginger paste instead of chopped garlic and ginger (she did too in the show, used seeded jalapenos instead of serranos, and used 1/2 yogurt and 1/2 fat-free half & half instead of heavy cream and it was delicious! I served it over brown basmati rice with a side broccoli slaw salad and didn't need to double the sauce as I doubled the chicken. I cooked the chicken on a cast iron grill pan on the stove (as she did and it smoked up the house and set off the fire alarm so we'll be grilling outside next time (winter here now with snow so grilling wasn't an option..LOL My 3 preschoolers loved it and asked for seconds which is a HUGE testament to how yummy this is! Thanks so much Aarti for another delicious addition to our meal lineup!!!

This was my first effort at Indian food, and just as Aarti promised, it is easy and delicious!! I grilled the marinated chicken (used breasts outside to keep my house from smoking up... and I added double garam masala. I used canned tomatoes, which worked out just fine. Because my husband and I like things extra spicy, I used crushed red pepper and cayanne to kick it up, and it was just right. Basmati rice works great, but definetly get some pita or naan for this meal. I had extra sauce left over, and plan to freeze it for a quick make-ahead meal in my near future. Thanks Aarti for sharing this recipie!

We used plain Greek yogurt and three serranos (with seeds instead of two. Next time we will use two pounds of thighs so that there are plenty of leftovers of this delicious dish. (No need to double the sauce as there was plenty of that.

Fantastic recipe - I was craving this dish as a memory from a work trip I took to London. I made this and now my husband is begging to go there if it is this good! Great flavor. Lots of chopping steps though - took longer than 30 min to fully prep and cook.

This again is a great recipe from Aarti. I have read some other reviews and they said that it lacked something. I found that if I use the fenugreek leaves it doesn't have the same punch as if I use the fenugreek seeds ground up. So maybe give that try, and I would say that you need to add fenugreek leaves or ground seed to get that indian flavor don't leave it out. Thats just me...
Thanks again Aarti
