I have tried a few other tikka masala recipes that were way more tedious and complicated, but this recipe is the best. Served with store bought naan and Aarti's aloo gobi. Yum!

Just delicious. Easy to make. This recipe motivated me to buy a grill pan and that pan will get a work out making this. My husband, who is fussy about spices, even thought it was delicious. I cut back to 1 jalapeno without seeds and it could have used 2, but still really good. We all have or have had the flu and this hit the spot as warm and healthy. I loved how tender the chicken thighs got after stewing for about 15 minutes. I added about a teaspoon of sugar to cut a bit of the tomato acid and I'll probably put it a couple dashes of Red Hot next time. But those are just my little tweaks to try next time -- not a thing wrong with it just as is!

This recipe is absolutely awesome!!! I love it!!! It is one of my favorite things to get when my husband and I got out to eat Indian food and now I can make it at home. I made an absolute mess of my kitchen in making it but it was totally worth it. : Thank you for sharing...

Amazing! I read user reviews, and also used extra teaspoon garam masala. My other variations: I used one chopped onion in addition to ginger/garlic base. Also substituted chicken breasts--worked well, and used canned tomatoes--large can. Came out great! My husband who has always been disappointed at my Indian cooking was finally impressed! Thanks so much Aarti! We're huge fans.

Cancel your reservations! This is an easy, economical recipe that really works! As good as anything you would get in a typical Indian restaurant with great flavors. I did 2 pounds of chicken thighs under the broiler (grill would have been better, but not available. Plenty of marinade, plenty of sauce, and lots of leftovers. Aarti, please keep giving us ways to explore these wonderful flavors at home!

Good, but missing something. I think it needed more garam masala or something. I prefer the Butter Chicken (Indian Chicken in Tomato Cream Saucerecipe from this website. I liked the cauliflower recipe from the same episode better than the chicken.

Hmm, approach is a bit odd, almost the reverse of how Indian food is usually cooked (I'm Indian. PRO is that is easier & faster to cook. Using way more tomatoes lend a nice color and I can use wayyyyyy less cream than I usually do! CON is that it doesn't taste like usual but I can just increase my curry masalas. I still might add a dash of food coloring to get that beautiful red because without it, it still comes out a bit orange brown. And, why are there no onions?? loll.. still a great recipe, keep it up Aarti!! <3
