    I have to say that I love this recipe and so did my sweetie! The pudding is delicious and it came together so easily. If you are having a hard time with the chocolate cookies use chocolate graham crackers. Aarti you are wonderful teacher and I look forward to your recipes in the future!

    A pre-teen kid can make this.
    I just noticed that http://aartipaarti.com went online at 2 pm PST, after being offline all day today. That means Aarti may be online and reading comments (as well as putting in fake +5 comments ;

    Don't rate your own stupid recipes or ask your cronies to do that for you!

    So far two for two. I've made both of Aarti's televised desserts and both are hits! I had to cheat on this one though by using a store bought chocolate pie crust that included the pan. I could not find those Nabisco chocolate wafers at all! Not Aarti's fault that I live in a state that's culinarily challenged.

    this is the first pie i ever made, and it's amazing! aarti really makes me believe i can cook! i was scared of the candied ginger, but this is aarti so i did it. the ginger really gives it a pop, next time i make it i will cut the pieces smaller though, my fault not aarti's. this is also my first pie crust AND home made whip cream! i feel like a real cook! having a WONDERFUL time cooking with aarti SOOOO glad she won.

    I made it last night. my husband and I had some this evening. We both agreed that it was to "die for".
    I have never been so excited about a new chef winning like I am about you. I have always loved Indian food but had never really attempted to cook it at home. I will now! I can hardly wait to try all your other recipes!!!!!!!!!!!

    Your cooking and your cheerful personality are the best I have ever seen. You were born with "a gift".

    I can hardly wait to try all your other recipes!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks

    I used 2% milk and skipped the candied ginger and it turned out wonderful. I will try it with the candied ginger the next go around. Thank you for sharing with the rest of us.

    Aarti, you are such a delight! I have tried every one of your recipes and they were all so easy and delicious. My husband is a happy man. We are having the pulled pork and choc puddin pie tonight. My house smells awesome.

    I would love it if you would teach us to make chicken tikka masala and chicken vindalou. Also a fabulous Indian rice pudding. We all loved your bread pudding. Last night we had the I aint no chicken chicken (or whatever with the Ugly Duckling salad. We loved the salad especially. The delicious dressing and then you get a bite of apple and celery. It was such a great combination. The skin on the chicken was to die for.

    Thanks food network! We all love Aarti. Such a good teacher and breath of fresh air. Please rerun her shows. Thanks, Karen

    We made this pie for Labor Day with all of our kids. We left out the ginger and used Oreos for the crust. It was a hit!! Even our pickiest eater loved it!! Can't wait to try more...

    We made this yesterday after watching the show on Sunday (We had an 'All-Aarti Day' lol... made everything from most recent show and round 2 of the Huggy Buggy bread pudding

    While we all liked it, each of us seemed to have a different issue with it, The crust was really tough and dense, but my wife liked it; she did not however, care too much for the ginger. It tasted medicinal to her. :P Mom's reaction, on the other hand, was 'where's the ginger?!?' I can't decide if I like ginger in my chocolate pudding or not...

    Both mom and my wife agreed that there was w-a-a-a-a-y too much cornstarch in the pudding. Me? I dunno...

    Overall, was good, but not a showstopper.
