I don't know what happened. For some reason the recipe called for mint and I interpreted as parsley. But it turned out great! I will try it with mint next time but it was really delicious with parsley. And its healthy. Also, I think we are going to try cauliflower instead of chicken to make it a nice veggie dish. I hope Aarti wins since I would love to see her show and try out more of her recipes! Food Network needs someone to do Indian inspired dishes.

Made exactly as written. Oops - used boneless skinless chicken breasts instead of thighs, but *otherwise* :D

This was so fantastic - couldn't have been more pleased!!!

I rated this a 5 because I want foodnetwork to have an Indian food authourity and I think Aarti could be it. I made this recipe just now, and I used tired spices as most kitchens probably have, and it was good but weak on flavor. After having read the other reviews I added 1 serrano chile and 1 thai chile to the masala. I did not have garam masala and couldn't find it at the store so I substituted curry powder. This was my first time to try making Indian food.

The dish was fine, no complaints, it's decent food. But you will want to add more spices or heat to your preference. I think she could improve on the recipe for public consumption. Maybe foodnetwork could provide only tired spices to the contestants to reflect the more normal family kitchen. And describe what is in garam masala, I think I could have made it my self if I had the recipe.

This dish is one of the best indian recipes i have ever made, its so flavorful and complex, we used about 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt as we went so it wasnt bland at all. We also used chicken breast. So tasty and deff. will make it again.

I've been wanting to try this one ever since the show aired and I made it tonight and it got absolutely rave reviews. This was my first experiment with Indian food and spices and it didn't disappoint us at all. I thought the spice level was just perfect...any hotter and my husband would not have liked it. It was just a lovely, warm comforting flavor, and served over a really fluffy basmati rice pilaf it was just delightful. The ONLY thing I changed was that I used about a cup of chicken broth instead of all water, only because I had a carton that needed to be used up. I honestly hope Aarti wins the show, because her recipes have been the most interesting to me of all of the contestants. Keep up the good work girl! I love your personality and this dish was amazing.

I was surprised by the layers of flavors in this curry. My family loved it. I will agree with some of the other reviewers. If you make it just like the recipe, it is not very spicy. I don't really like spicy food so it was perfect for me. I am interested in trying some of her other dishes. I hope she wins, she is such a delight to watch every week.

I think great recipes provide foundations for all of us to add/subtract to personalize them. This was one of that. Thanks, Aarti.

This was a great summer dinner recipe, with refreshing aroma of mint and cilantro. We thought it needed a bit more heat, so I added a bit of caynne pepper. I needed a bit more body, so I added 1/2 C of Japanese sake to 1C of water, instead of 11/2 C of water. Because my husband is a vegetarian, we used a can of navy beans, instead of chicken.
Although it sounds like I changed a bit of Aarti's recipe, it came out really good.

Hope she will show us how to make home-made Naan bread.

I was so excited to try this recipe out. It has a very interesting base, more along the lines of an Indian mint chutney. It turned out delicious!! I read several comments that the dish lacked flavor. I think what it comes down to is the amount of spices you use. She has listed a small amount of each spice (probably to make sure it doesn't overpower the judges. If you increase the spices (coriander, cumin etc it'll pack a real punch. Also I added chili powder to mine, as my finance loves spicy food. It turned out great. Kudos to Aarti. I've made a few of her recipes on her blog, and allll of them have gotten rave reviews from my friends & family!

I loved this gravy. My husband and I are vegetarians so we used the gravy and added potatoes and cauliflower instead of chicken and it was very tasty !

I have eaten Indian food all across the country, (it's my favorite!, and I was very disappointed in this dish. Very bland and dull, which was surprising to me because of the various spices that were in it. It smelled wonderful while it was cooking, but unfortunately can't say the same for the taste.
