I never had eaten kale. Did not know how to fix it, but since Arty's recipes are so good, I did try it. It is so tasty and delicious, I am doing it again. Thanks Arty

I just made the cilantro pesto part & mixed it with some cooked pasta. It needs a lot of salt for flavor. Just added a big green chili into the blender for a little extra kick. This would go well with fish. I wasn't too keen on the almondy texture though. Don't think I'd make this pesto again.

Very tasty! We added a little parsley to the mix with the Cilantro and it was great! My husband said he thought that Kale was only good for decorating plattes when catering. Who knew he'd like it?! My recommendation is to cut the kale into more bite-size pieces since it doen't wilt the same way that spinach does. We will definetly make again.

Yummmm! I ended up steaming the kale about 40 minutes because I like it tender, adding little bits of vegetable stock as needed. Next time I think I'll chop the kale before cooking, to make it less "clunky" to eat and to distribute it better amongst the beans. Loved the bright flavor of the cilantro pesto--I'll be making that again soon for a variety of uses! All in all, a great dish.

This was a great side dish with assertive floor that stood up well to steak. The kale needed more time to perfect tenderness.
A little feedback: Searching for this recipe online was nearly impossible. "Greens 'n' Beans" is not exactly SEO-friendly. The recipe steps could also stand to be a little more specific. For instance, giving an approximate cooking time for the kale would have been much more helpful than using "make the cilantro pesto" as a unit of time measurement.

A wonderful flavor. The more I ate, the more I wanted. My husband liked the flavor, but found the kale too chewy. I cooked it much longer than 10 min. but it never got tender. I will make this again and try other greens.

I really thought the beans made it so smooth. It was wonderful. Will definitely make again.

My family enjoyed this dish. We are always looking for healthy side dishes. I don't care for cilantro so I used a basil pesto that I purchased rather than making my own and it worked just fine.

I liked this a lot. I used half the olive oil in the pesto and believe it could be reduced more without sacrificing the taste. I think this is one you can serve to guests and convert them to Kale, if they aren't already there.
