The recipe was o.k. My husband and I thought it was o.k. My kids picked the hot dogs out and did not enjoy it.

Since I'm in grad school and work full time, my boyfriend has to do the bulk of the cooking while I study. This was super easy to put together, and it was delicious! I think it would be really good for people who have kids that are picky eaters, and I was even thinking that you could add paneer to it to make it sort of an "Indian chili cheese dog." I don't know if that'd be good or not, but I think we're going to try it next time we make this!

I never would have thought that such simple ingredients as hot dogs would become so amazing in this recipe. The flavors are amazing!!! So simple to make and the kids will love it. Not overpowering like some Indian foods can be. And all of the ingredients are healthy.

The flavors of the herbs and spices with the flavor of hot dog just did NOT go well together for me... I love indian food, so I think I was horrified when some of my favorite flavors combined in my mouth with the taste of hot dog. Just... no. Doesn't work. I wanted to give this recipe a chance as an easy, cheap dinner, but this made me vomit in my mouth a little and wound up in the trash. I don't know how this is getting 5 stars across the board. The cult of Aarti must be gathering...

I thought this was truly inspired. It was obvious to me that this dish was invented with a mother's touch and a mother's love. I could really taste that! I am honestly touched by this, because it's of sentimental value to Aarti, and something she is now sharing with us. So it has more meaning than just any old dish. Seriously, if I didn't know that those were hot dogs in there I would think I was eating some kind of exotic Indian cuisine in a fine restaurant. Just give me a little naan, some chutney and some rice at the buffet and I'd be fooled completely

The sauce has a certain flavor I always loved in Indian food but never knew how they achieved. It's nice to have that demystified for once and for all! I would enjoy that sauce over shoe leather, it's that good! I think it would be just as good with any other meat you like. I might substitute boneless chicken next time, although I have to admit that the slightly smoky/salty flavor of the hot dogs really complemented the sauce very well.

I served it on hot dog buns and sprinkled chopped cilantro on top. It looked kind of whimsical that way, but interestingly I liked it on the buns because it almost tasted like a cut up hot dog in that tomato-ey onion sauce that you get from a hot dog cart, only much fresher tasting and with a very nice Indian twist.

    Thanks once again, Aarti!

This is was a great way to dress up hot dogs. I cut my carrots into coin shapes, kids ate them up because they looked just like the dogs. Way to go!

No-one else in my family likes Indian Cooking, but I love it. I happened to see this episode, and decided to try it.

Congratulations Aarti, you got my Mom and Sister to eat Indian (inspired food.

I substituted in canned to tomatoes instead of fresh, and only used 1/4 onion because that's all I had. Still delicious. Anyway, this is fantastic and will certainly make it again.

Don't bother wasting any ingredients. -- Inedible is the only accurate description. It's a shame that this recipe was not tested by impartial people.
