Loved this recipe! What a great way to eat hot dogs (Nathan's is our dog of choiceand I added 1/4 of a red pepper. This was very tasty with a touch of spice.

With so many mixed reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really like this dish! The flavors work well together and make a nice compliment to the hot dogs. Instead of fresh tomato I used canned chopped tomato and used the juice to thin the sauce rather than water. It was fun to have serve this in a pita pocket. Since I usually find pita bread to be kind of hard and dry, I spritzed it with a little water and warmed it in the oven before serving. Next time I will try this with natural chicken sausage.

Unlike many of the cranks posting on Aarti's recipes, I actually made this dish (even though I was sceptical. The only ingredient I left out was the cilantro (because I forgot to add it at the end. While this wasn't my favorite of Aarti's dishes, it was very tasty. I served it with rice. To those of you who write hateful things about how you "hate the smell" of Indian spices, then don't cook these recipes. And those who complain her dishes aren't hot enough or not authentic Indian, she never said they were, merely western dishes with an Indian kick. Get over yourselves, people, and give the girl a break. I for one am enjoying watching something new and different for a change on the Food Network.

"Review11" seems to be too jealous of Aarti 'coz he has copied and pasted his review in all of her recipes.

I loved this Recipe and just looking at her making it made my mouth water.

Sorry Aarti, but this wasn't great. Served it over steamed rice and it cooked very dry even after adding more water. Flavors were good but just wouldn't ever make it again. Keep trying, you shine!

My 13 yr old daughter and I had a lot of fun watching the show together and then cooking the meal. I think that's what these shows are all about. It was exactly as promised tasty and fun. My kids won't eat it, but they never eat so called "kid friendly" food. I enjoyed it and I don't eat hot dogs (except Dodger dogs. Tastes like a hot dog with onions, relish and mustard (even though there is no mustard in it.

A lot of controversy over the rights to the recipe! Correct me if I'm wrong(its been a long time since I passed the Bar, but recipes can't be copywrited. Aarti only said her Mom used to make the recipe. Change one little thing and its a new recipe anyway.

My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe. I added some corn to thisand served in warm tortillas with a layer of cilantro and some ranch dressing on the bottom.

For a side to go with this, I made some Quinoa. Add one star anise to the water for a sweet savory flavor.

    “Haven't tried it yet.”
Then HOW IN THE WORLD, sargeret8_7589182, can you give the recipe a 5 star rating??! Hey all you Aarti fans, there is a blog on the FN Dish where you can post instead of skewing the recipe ratings.
