I got an email forward asking to review Aarti's recipes. Not sure who originated the email thread!

Most of Aarti's recipes seem easy, except the pulled pork and sloopy joes.

My roommate made this dish and the smells in the kitchen were awful.

Wow. once again, the interspersing of bad and good reviews. What a coincidence.

I did not like the flavor combo in this one. Well, the discredit goes to the original owner of this recipe as there seems to be a dispute on that!

This recipe was crazy good! I love that I'm able to serve my 5 year-old hot dogs with something different (and healthier than the typical hot dog bun. My husband and I loved it, too! I was feeling lazy so I sliced the carrots (like another user suggested. We also ate the leftovers with tortillas and that was good, too!

I came here after a comment on the blog about this recipe being stolen.
Someone here writes that they haven't tried this recipe yet. Why the review then?

Sorry, this tasted gross. Please, this is not healthy food. Also, please don't label recipes with titles that suggest they are original. I liked Aarti's personality so far, even if she is quite a novice cook. It was embarrassing to have seen this allegation.

For the reviewer who claims the recipe is his - it would be helpful if you can post the link to your blog or wherever you have posted this recipe.

Somehow the flavors of hot dog did not mix well with the Indian spices.
I have tasted chicken and lamb dishes where gara masala adds a complexity to the taste. Did not see that happening for this dish.

fun easy and delicious. I don't mind if it's not authentic, I thought the flavors looked great on the show, I just made it, and it is, in fact delicious. Esp great for introducing kids to these flavors - which was also the history behind the recipe (for kids. Thanks Aarti

I agree with TXGigi. People are giving fake good reviews without trying the recipe.
If this recipe has been borrowed, the source needs to be acknowledged.

In all fairness Food Network, don't delete 1/2 star reviews, Okay? If you choose to delete the bad reviews, also delete the good reviews written out of spite for the authentic bad reviews.

Haven't tried it yet but am bothered by the borderline hostile poster who claims that the recipe is really her "family" recipe. Aarti made no claims to that effect as during the show she merely stated that her momma had made the recipe and it became a family favourite. Aarti is now MY favourite chef and I look forward to all her recipes. Can't wait for a twist on Spaghetti sauce.

Loved it! I'm very excited to finally discover Indian flavors and how to use them. It was easy to make, and everyone at my dinner loved it.
