I have never made bread pudding. This was so simple and delicious.... Yummy! I also made the roasted chicken. I have dried many a chicken breast in my days, but NOT this time. I followed her directions and it was so tender and tasty. Nice job Aarty!

I had been looking for something that I could entice my husband to eat Bread Pudding. This recipe with the cardamon, that I grew and ground, Lite his eyes up...He has a Wheat allergy so using gluten free bread was a snap. We don't find figs in South Dakota so I used golden and dark raisins. I topped it with warmed , rum flavored, half & half. I know we are not calories when we eat this. Will be a Christmas yummy addition. Thanky Aarti for making MY party!! Jules from South Dakota

After watching the show, I had to try this recipe. I didn't have cardamom and it was $14 at the grocery store so I decided to alter the recipe. I used condensed sweet milk since I can't eat coconut, I used 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 tsp cocoa powder instead of the cardamom. I also used chocolate covered raisin instead of figs. It was incredible. I've never made bread pudding before and other recipes on the site had too many ingredients. This was perfect for me to tweek for my own tastebuds. LOVE IT!

I was googling coconut milk and see in l cup it has 445 calories, 48 gram fat, 43 grams of saturated fat. I've heard over and over saturdated fat is artery clogging... Another site said saturated fat is ok; its the hydrogenated/trans fat that are dangerous - what's a bread pudding lover to do?? Does anyone really know what the latest research shows?

I love this bead pudding. I made a vanilla sauce for it and added coconut milk as well as substituting cardamon for nutmeg. I also always add vanilla bean to my vanilla sauce. Well the two combined were out of this world.

thanks for such a great recipe

I don't understand why anyone would not give this recipe 5 stars! Not only is it easy but if one follows the recipe it comes out perfect and doesn't taste like a flower pot like one poster said. This recipe is a keeper! Good work Aarti!

After watching the episode, I just had to make this bread pudding. I have never made bread pudding before, and this was so easy! I used dried cranberries instead of figs, and since I didn't have any day-old bread... I used Aarti's oven trick and it worked perfectly. It was a hit with my supper club! Definitely bringing this back out again and again!

First time making bread pudding and it was amazing. My husband and I ate the whole dish. I love the cardamom flavor. I topped it with some pistachios. It came out so very good. I can't wait to make it for company.
