Come on Aarti, where are your pure Indian recipes? I thought when you won I couldn't wait to try all your recipes and seriously you give us sloppy joes and roast chicken??? Please don't dumb down to the lowest denominator and give us good 'proper' indian recipes.
This recipe was just so-so boring. You can do way better than this.
And for the other 2 'reviewers' giving 5 stars and moaning about another reviewer not reviewing a recipe - pot calling kettle black.

I Agree with Margaret - this is to REVIEW the recipe, a recipe that hasn't aired yet. At least do your research first, before you use your negativity here! I love Aarti & her recipes! Go Aarti!

Mary, first of all this is a site to REVIEW recipes, not air off your opinion. Secondly, this show has not aired yet - it airs the 29th - which is probably why there are NO reviews. If you go to last sunday you will see all the reviews there. I have made the recipes from that show and they were amazing! I do believe Aarti won the hearts of the judges with her personality and her expertise. Different strokes for different folks - there are several shows I don't personally like and i don't watch them and certainly do not review them.... that is not what this site is for. I read reviews to get hints from viewers that have made the recipes before I make them and I don't get why some feel the need to take up space with their opinion - specially the negative ones. not the place or venue - thanks

Sorry, but I'm not among those cheering for Aarti. Obviously she was "picked" the winner way before the announcement. Her previous work at CNN made her a shoe-in; Bob, Suzie and Mr. Flay were enamored with her from the get-go. The others didn't have a chance, it was all a fake attempt to make the contest seem real. There is just something about Aarti that bugged me the whole time. She bugged me like last season's Debbie bugged some people. We're three days in since Aarti Party aired and there are no comments. I did not watch her show and will not. Did anyone? Maybe not, so there might be others that are not happy about the outcome. It was interesting to me that the final episode/announcement was so low key. Only the three finalists, the judges and no friends, family, or the other contestants in attendance (at least no evidence if they were. I was not at all happy with the outcome (Herb deserved to win, he struggled and overcame a lot and would have blossomed into a great "eat healthy/be healthy" food chef. The new Food Channel is looking better and better to me all the time.
