I made this for some Indian students and they loved it! They said it tasted just like home!

Love this. the raisins gave it a nice surprise. next time i would drain the cucumbers though before adding to make it not so liquidy.

BE CAREFUL with the salt! I added the full amount to begin with, then needed to add more yogurt and a little sugar to fix the flavor. I will start with 1/4 tsp next time and season to taste, which would probably give this 5 stars. This recipe makes way more dressing than needed for 2 cups of cucumbers, but it was a hit with the whole family as a simple waldorf salad (chopped granny smith apples, halved red grapes, some chopped walnuts, and more golden raisins. The mint was great, but the real surprise in the recipe is the raisins --- LOVE the combo with the yogurt and cukes!!!

Loved this as well...very nice raita recipe and super with the vindaloo. I used Chobani 2% plain yogurt and thought it was very tasty. I also used the suggestion of another reviewer to blot the water from the shredded cucumbers so the nice, thick texture remained. Will definitely make again!

The sweetness of the raisins complemented the beef really well. I used Greek yogurt instead which was a bit too strong but it was what I had on hand. Next time I will use regular yogurt.

I loved the taste. I served it with the meat stuffed pitas. My only complaint is it makes a lot. I might only add one cup of yogurt next time.

Loved this! It went perfect with the vindaloo. It would also work well with fish!

Loved this! I make a raita that is on the spicy side, so trying a sweet one was very nice. I am going to try using mango instead of the raisins next time. Love you Aarti, thanks for sharing your India with us!

Cool and refreshing! Delicious. Respond to Lindseyduncan_1: you can grate the carrots and use it in place of cucumbers; or any vegetable or even fruit. Good Luck!
