I am surprised, but I really enjoyed this on my cheeseburger. I definitely recommend pureeing it a bit for a smooth salsa texture. I going to try this chicken and fish as well.

I needed a quick chutney for some samosas and had no access to tamarind but this was an excellent substitute with not too many Indian ingredients nearby.

I made this to accompany lamb kabobs and cous cous. It was really good.

Very spicy, very rich. Wonderful!!! I have some left over and I'm going to use it on a whole bunch of things, from sandwiches to eggs.

    Thanks!

This was great. I've made it 3 times now and use it instead of ketchup, duck sauce, and a myriad of other sauces. I did puree it just because it is more universally useful. It's good with asian flavors, indian flavors, beef, chicken and turkey so far, and anything with mushrooms. MMM. Aarti did it again.

Aarti! You did it again. I made this tonight to go on top of my sliders and I ended up spooning it onto my burger with each bite! It is sooo good. I made it as written except that I didn't have mustard seeds, so I added ground mustard in with the rest of the spices. Used a white onion (didn't have a red one, and I only had basil, oregano and garlic flavored tomatoes. I can't imagine that it made too much difference. I could totally eat this all by itself, but I can see where it would be great on pork or even as the topping on a meatloaf. I have been craving your Aloo Gobi, so this helped my craving a little bit....I'm lying...it made me want more!

I used tomatoes from the garden and for my own taste, a teaspoon of Splenda. Wonderful flavor. Served it on burgers the first night. Husband spread it on his pita with turkey(cold for lunch the next day. I would serve this warm over pork tenderloin.
