I turned this into Indian nachos by serving over multigrain chips and topping with cilantro, feta, pistachios, and yogurt. Wonderful!

Since my husband grew up in India I have learned to make curry and do it often; but when I saw this episode of Aarti Party, the ground beef curry sounded so easy that I wanted to try it. Yummy!! I think it's a very nice combination of spices but I couldn't quite get past the ground beef. Next time I'm going to make it w/ shredded beef. I watched Next Food Network Star and was hoping Aarti would win 'cause I'd like how she spices things up w/ an Indian flare.

The time on this was ridiculous. 5 minutes prep???? Anyway, it took me a lot longer. I had read many of the reviews and used less than 1/4 of water. That was still way too much. With all the water the tomatoes released, I won't add any additional water next time. It must have taken 20 minutes to reduce the liquid out. That said, the result was delicious and I'll be making this again.

Made this on the fly for company last night when the rain was too heavy and the wind too, well, windy to allow us to troll the streets for food. Just great! And easy enough that I could make it for the first time while talking to my guests with a glass of wine in my hand. Used ground turkey, 'cause that's what I had. Tasty, satisfying, and so DO-able. Aarti is seriously my culinary hero.

What a wonderful dish! I didn't use ANY water and doubled up on the cumin, cayenne and coriander. We'll be fighting for the left overs! And though I'm not crazy about Summer squash, Aarti's version is awesome. I now have some Indian notes for my cooking repertoire. Thanks Aarti.

Delicious!!!! I added about 2 cups of chopped cabbage with the tomatoes to bulk up the meal since I keep it lower carb. Ate it with a spoon like a wonderful Indian chili situation.

I agree with many others that 1 cup of water is way too much and really washes away all the flavor. Next time I'm only going to add enough water to cover the ground beef.

This was so tasty & easy. Even my picky husband loved it. ( I served it over mashed potatoes, he'll eat anything over mashed potatoes . I used ground turkey and less water than called for. All the spices flavored the turkey very well. This is a keeper for a quick supper. Aarti is so fun to watch!

This recipe requires a good mise en place in order to work quickly and efficiently, and as noted above, the amount of water is too much. I ended up just cooking everything down but next time will cut the water by half. Other than that, it's a really terrific recipe that produces a delicious meal. The two of us could have easily eaten all of it in one sitting! I didn't use the optional cayenne, having run out, but did add some turmeric; that worked nicely. The cilantro really adds a sparkle at the end.
