I registered with the Food Network so I could specifically comment on Aarti's Lasagna Cupcakes! They are so unusual and so delicious and so pretty! The gourmet cupcakes are easy to make and fancy to serve. Everyone who ate my Lasagna Cupcakes tonight loved them and they all want them again, including three young adults. The flavor is amazing. I am grateful that I saw your cooking demonstration on television last weekend, Aarti! Thank you for sharing your recipe.

Followed the recipe as written but with one exception - had to use mango jam instead of chutney, as I couldn't find any chutney in the store. I thought they were great and that the mango flavor add an extra "dimension" of taste. Even if you don't think you're a fan of mango chutney/jam, I still think you should try the recipe as it's written. It doesn't scream mango - in fact, if someone made these for you and you ate them, I doubt you'd be able to figure out what the flavor was. Anyway, they're very good and I highly recommend the recipe.

Followed the recipe exactly down to the wonton wrappers. We used a regular muffin pan so when we were done we had twelve cupcakes. Turned out awesome. My daughter couldn't stop eating these!! They are very rich so if you make them muffin size instead of mini it is probably best to serve 1 per person with a side salad to lighten things up. Will definitely make these again. This recipe was made for my family. Thanks Aarti, you are one of my favorite chefs!

using a jumbo muffin pan works best- those came out beautiful the ones in the standard pan or not pleasant looking

I also left out the mango chutney but loved the cupcake idea. Thought they were better the next day. Great to snack on.

I can't rate the filling as I didn't make it that way - many reasons. But my problem was with the Wonton wrappers. The top layer did well but I had to brush it with olive oil... the lower ones were rather hit and miss. Some were nice others still tasted of flour and dried up dough. Maybe brushing each of the edges with olive oil would work or use two pans so there is more room for the edges.

These were great! Very unique too. We love lasagna in our house, but where it is just the two of us now a whole pan of lasagna, even feezing the leftovers for other meals is just too much. These were a perfect size and just enough leftover for lunch the next day. I left out the mango chutney as I am not a fan of it and used prok sausage and they were great!
Thanks Aarti.

We modified the recipe! I'm not a chutney lover so we modified the recipe by just using the Italian elements and making lasagna cupcakes (using hot Italian sausage and using "egg roll wrappers" (our store was out of Won-ton wrappers.
I cut the 6" wrappers into 4 1/2" square pieces with the 1 1/2" strips used 2 at a time (crossed instead of an entire won-ton wrapper. A large piece for level one, crossed pieces for levels 2 and 3, and another big one on top. The crossed pieces made them look more like lasagna flower-petal cupcakes.
The result was delicious, had plenty of eye-appeal and a unique presentation.
Thanks for the idea Aarti!

P.S. I only saw the last 4 minutes of the show and didn't hear your original presentation, so I don't know if these were an appetizer or main dish -- but for us these were big enough for a main dish. If we use a mini-cupcake mold and make the ingredients appropriately smaller, we think this will make a great party appetizer.

This was by far the biggest waste of money and time. The taste was awful. The cinnamon, cloves and most of all the mango chutney had no place in creating lasagna in any shape or form. The thought of ever eating something like this again makes me sick to my stomach.
