OMG I made this for my family for Labor Day. It is so easy and everyone including the pickiest eater LOVED it!!!!! I also used a larger pork shoulder, no problem, just increased my time by about an hour. The beauty of this dish, is that you can cook it earlier in the day, and when your company comes over, it is ready. You can enjoy your family and friends and not be stressed or pressured. I love watching Aarti and the food she prepares is so flavorful. Bring more and more and more.......How about a book?

I made this last night and it was delicious! I had a 7lb bone-in pork shoulder, so I had to cook it for a little longer than the recipe called for. I went for an extra 45 minutes. Also, I was unable to locate mango puree, mango juice or mango nectar at my store. In my frustration, I bought a bunch of super ripe mangos (the ripest my store had and then looked up a recipe to make my own mango puree. (For anyone interested, it's 2 ripe mangos, 3 tbsp sugar, 2 tsp lemon juice - puree in blender or food processor. This made the perfect amount of puree for the recipe. The results were astonishing. Such a perfect blend of sweet, savory and spicy. This recipe is a keeper!

Unfortunately, I missed this show and as a result I'm left with questions about the recipe. When do we add the molasses, lime juice, etc (ingredients not mentioned
    in the directions?

This was just... ridiculous. One of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever had. Was very easy to make too. The only possble negative I can list was, mom 'wanted it to be more indian tasting...'

Oh, one thing... PLEASE FIX THE RECIPE! We watched the show, so we knew how to make the sauce, but someone who missed it is gonna struggle. kthxbai :

I made this recipe last night for my hubby who loves a good pulled pork recipe. This is a nice alternative to the regular pulled pork with BBQ sauce. We weren't able to find the mango puree so we bought 3 ripe mango's and broke them down, pureed them in the food processor and added mango nectar to thin it out. The recipe tasted great this recipe will definitely go into out regular rotation.

The is the second week in a row I have run out to the store to get the ingredients for a recipe from your show and I wasn't disappointed. Easy to make and the pork was like butter in your mouth. Excellent!

I couldn't find the mango puree so I bought frozen mango chunks and made my own.

Next weekend I will try the chocolate pie - Can't Wait

Used frozen smoothie mix. It was mango/pineapple. The overall taste was a little bland. Needed to be a little sweeter and definitely spicier. I used seeds and all of the peppers but couldn't taste them at all. It would be good to give other suggestions for mango puree. Maybe how to make from fresh mangos??? Finding frozen or otherwise is very difficult especially this time of year.

I made this for Labor Day and it was a big hit. I didn't have mango puree, so I replaced with mango nectar as suggested upthread. Overall, very, very good.

After watching this episode, me and my husband went out and bought all the ingredients--some I already had. I substituted the mango puree with a frozen mango pack from Trader Joes and blended it. I was perfect.I also substituted the molasses with "Gud" or " Jaggery" which is an Indian version of molasses. The dish came out pretty amazing and the pickles was a perfect match! Thanks Aartri!!
