I loved this dish, my mom and I made it! My husband can't do the seeds though, is it ok to crush or powder them?

This recipe is great! I had a hard time finding mango puree so I made my own with one can of mango juice and a half a bag of partially thawed mango chunks (which were easy to find. I put them in the blender and created the puree. I have made it several times and this substitution works! Less work if you can find the puree in your grocery store, but this works if you can't.

Very tasty, but cooking the pork in the sauce makes it really thin and greasy. I smoke the pork, make the sauce by itself and join them to serve. Yum!

Soooo Delicious!!!! I couldn't find mango puree in my supermarket so i made it myself with fresh mango, lemon juice, and sugar in a blender. It turned out sooo amazing! My family loved it! I've made it twice now and turned out perfect both times. The serrano pepper is a nice match to the sweetness. Great balance and layers of flavors! Thanks Aarti!

This recipe was absolutely fabulous! Yes, it is sweet....it has mango puree in it......don't make the recipe if you don't like sweet bbq sauces. I had so much left over that I was able to make several other items with it: bbq pizza, enchiladas. Black beans and cilantro compliment the flavors in the bbq extremely well!

This recipe is fantastic in the crockpot. Simply rub the meat with the brown sugar and paprika. Blend all the remaining ingredients and pourover meat in crock pot, cook on high for about 6-7 hours and I serve over rice. A warm meal to come home to after a busy day!

This is an awesome recipe for those wanting to step out of the ordinary. I crock pot it with chicken instead of pork. When my exotic-fruit-hating husband commented that he could eat mango that way every week...I took him up on the offer. I make a huge batch once a month that covers about three full meals for our family of six. Every kid (1-6 yrs old loves it! The taste varies from batch to batch as certain ingredients aren't always available and substitutions are the norm (even used candied ginger this last time. But I never have complaints. I serve it as sandwich meat, over brown Jasmine rice or even over whole wheat pasta. If you live near a Trader Joes, try it with their Mango Chicken Sausage (they also have frozen Mango chunks for about $3 a pound. It WILL taste bitter if you don't cook it long enough...the longer you cook it, the better it gets. Way to go Aarti!

This is a very good recipe. It feeds a bunch for a little money and it is different which is what I think Aarti is about. Costco has a two portion pork roast all the time in this area. It is very inexpensive per pound. I used both portions and just made enough of the recipe to accomodate the pounds of pork. When it was done I took the marinade and cooked it down to make it thicker and used it over the port and then again on sandwiches. We will have this again and for certain when we are casual entertaining.
